Willie Wilson Willie Wilson 6'2" | CG Minneapolis North | 2022 State MN (6’2 2022 G, Minneapolis North)- Perhaps the most skilled scorer in the class, Willie can put the ball in the hoop in a variety of ways. His transition game is as good as it gets, he has the athleticism to get to and finish at the rim, he’s improved his shooting percentages from deep, and he has no problem creating a shot off the dribble. Willie looks like a natural with the ball in his hands, utilizing a fluid hesitation move to create space to get off a shot. He holds early offers from Florida and Hampton, and will run with Grassroots Sizzle 16u this summer.
Samuel Rensch Samuel Rensch 6'6" | SF Hutchinson | 2022 State MN (6’6 2022 SG, Hutchinson)- After shooting up to about the 6’6 mark over the past year, Samuel Rensch Samuel Rensch 6'6" | SF Hutchinson | 2022 State MN put together a strong sophomore campaign and has recently earned an offer from Augustana. Sam is a smooth scorer with great positional size who can put the ball in the hoop from all three levels. He has a smooth pull-up jumper with a high release making it difficult for defenders to contest, and the strength to complete around the rim. He’ll run with Minnesota Fury 16u this summer.
Dylan Wheeler Dylan Wheeler 6'3" | SG Mounds View | 2022 State MN (6’1 2022 G, Mounds View)- Another 2022 recently offered by Augustana, Dylan Wheeler Dylan Wheeler 6'3" | SG Mounds View | 2022 State MN is a player who can take over a game with his shot. Once he gets going, he’s an extremely hard player to stop as evident by scoring highs of 31 and 29 during his sophomore season. Dylan excels at running off screens and knocking down threes off the catch, or can knock down one dribble pull-ups from mid-range with consistency. He’ll be playing with Minnesota Heat MacDonald 16u this summer.
Alonzo Dodd Alonzo Dodd 6'2" | CG South St Paul | 2022 State MN (6’2 2022 G, South St. Paul)- Dodd was one of the most electrifying scorers in the state as just a sophomore this past winter, and that scoring prowess has earned him offers from Milwaukee and Morgan State. Alonzo has a quick burst off the dribble allowing him to penetrate even the smallest gaps in defenses and he has a knack for drawing contact around the rim. Even when his shot isn’t falling, his constant energy and ability to get to the free throw line make him an effective player. He’ll run with Grassroots Sizzle 16u during the summer.
Kendall Blue Kendall Blue 6'6" | SG East Ridge | 2022 State #242 Nation MN (6’5 2022 G, East Ridge)- In his first season of extended playing time on varsity, Kendall made his presence felt by averaging 14 ppg. His unique combination of length and ball handling make him a mismatch nightmare, as he’s able to finish over smaller guards inside with either hand, or create space on the perimeter if you put a bigger wing on him. Kendall’s outside shot is fluid, and he’s a threat in transition with his controlled approach and open-floor athleticism. The D1 Minnesota guard has earned a handful of D1 offers over the past month.
Yarin Alexander (6’4 2022 W, Burnsville)- Yarin is another player who burst onto the scene as a sophomore, as a big bodied wing with the strength to finish around the rim through contact. The fluid lefty is a threat to go coast to coast and is dangerous getting to the rim off a straight line drive. Playing off the ball Yarin has a smooth lefty stroke from three that he knocks down at a solid rate.
JaSean Glover JaSean Glover 6'3" | SG Madelia | 2022 State MN (6’3 2022 G, Madelia)- Ja’Sean put up huge scoring numbers as a sophomore, and will look to translate that success into the AAU season with the Southwest Minnesota Stars 17u team. Glover has solid length and athleticism for his position, and has no problem pulling up from well beyond the three point line to score. If he can translate some of his high school success into the summer season, scholarship schools will have no choice but to take notice.
