Tre Holloman Tre Holloman 6'2" | PG Cretin-Derham Hall | 2022 State #57 Nation MN (6’3 2022 PG, Cretin-Derham Hall)- It says a lot about Tre that he’s the only 2022 point guard that Tom Izzo and Michigan State have offered so far. Because Tre is a well known prospect at this point, we’ll keep this short. Holloman brings a combination of passing vision, leadership, speed, and defensive intensity that makes him one of the top point guards in the country. He’ll run with Howard Pulley 16u this summer.
Ayden McDonald Ayden McDonald 6'4" | PG Omaha Central | 2022 State MN (6’3 2022 PG, Hibbing)- The only point guard to dish out more assists last winter than Holloman, McDonald has a knack for putting his teammates in good positions to score. Ayden doesn’t make the game too complicated, and has a mature feel for the game that allows him to remain calm under heavy ball pressure, keeping his head up to pick out the open teammate. When looking to score for himself, Ayden has a lethal turnaround jumper from mid-range that he can hit with a hand right in his face. McDonald will run with the Playmakers North 17u squad.
Antonio Bluiett Antonio Bluiett 6'2" | PG Buffalo | 2022 State MN (6’ 2022 PG, Buffalo)- Antonio Bluiett Antonio Bluiett 6'2" | PG Buffalo | 2022 State MN has recently heard from North Dakota State and Minnesota-Duluth, both for good reason, as Bluiett has established himself as one of the top 2022 point guards in Minnesota. Bluiett is so versatile on the offensive end, with a solid outside shot, a quick burst to blow by his man, and the vision to kick the ball out to shooters off the drive. Antonio is a player capable of taking over a game with both his distribution and scoring skills. Bluiett plays with the Minnesota Comets during the AAU season.
Kenji Scales Kenji Scales 6'0" | PG Eastview | 2022 State MN (6’ 2022 PG, Eastview)- Coming off the bench for a senior-heavy Eastview team this past winter, Kenji impressed with his quickness off the dribble, and ability to drive while keeping his head up to find the open man after the defense collapsed on him. Kenji is one of those players willing to take on whatever role is needed of him, and will take a win over individual numbers any day of the week. He’ll run with MN Fury Narum 16u this summer.
Mario Sanders II Mario Sanders II 5'11" | PG Minneapolis North | 2022 State MN (5’10 2022 PG, Minneapolis North)- The steady hand at point guard for Minneapolis North last winter, Rio is a do-it-all guard who loves to control the tempo on offense and provide pesky defense on the other end. Sanders is an explosive athlete with elite quickness allowing him to fly around the floor and exploit gaps in the defense. Around the rim he’s a tough finisher but always keeps his head on a swivel to pick out open cutters or spot-up shooters.
Maddox Alipate Maddox Alipate 6'1" | PG Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2022 State MN (6’1 2022 PG, Lakeville South)- Maddox had a strong summer at the 15u level last year, and will look to replicate that success at the 16u level this summer. A strong and athletic guard, Maddox is a bulldog of a defender who can disrupt opposing offenses with his ball pressure. He’ll bring a high level of toughness to the floor for Minnesota Fury 16u this summer.
Benard Omooria Benard Omooria 6'2" | CG Osseo | 2022 State MN (6’1 2022 PG, Osseo)- Benard will once again be running with D1 Minnesota this summer after putting together a strong sophomore season for Osseo. Benard has a great feel for the game, and plays with excellent change-of-pace that allows him to pick out any spot on the floor and get there. He has no lack of confidence in his three point shot, and operates well has a pick & roll ball handler. One of the top 2022 point guards in Minnesota.
