First off the five with high major offers:
- Chet Holmgren Chet Holmgren 7'0" | C Minnehaha Academy | 2021 State #1 Nation MN who is battling for the top prospect spot nationwide
- Kendall Brown who is now in Kansas, but still a Minnesotan who is a five star level player
- Treyton Thompson who is committed to Minnesota and a consensus top 100 prospect
- Will Tschetter Will Tschetter 6'8" | PF Stewartville | 2021 State #96 Nation MN who I believe is a top 100 level player
- Hercy Miller Hercy Miller 6'3" | PG Minnehaha Academy | 2021 State MN who is new to Minnesota (at Minnehaha Academy since New Year’s)
Who could be next?
Andrew Morgan Andrew Morgan 6'9" | C Waseca | 2021 State #178 Nation MN of Waseca. Physically Andrew Morgan Andrew Morgan 6'9" | C Waseca | 2021 State #178 Nation MN has the best chance. He is 6-foot-8, 6-foot-9 with the type of strength and agility that high major teams look for. If Andrew’s short and mid-range jumper improve, and he becomes a bit more aggressive finisher, Morgan will be offered by high major programs. At the 17u level he already rebounds and moves the way he needs to. Don’t be fooled by Andrew’s offer list either: mid major and low major programs are well aware that Andrew is looking at an agricultural major so some that don’t have that major have moved on.
Cade Haskins Cade Haskins 6'6" | SF Delasalle | 2021 State MN of DeLaSalle. Any person familiar with how the open period works knows that a shooter with size is a wanted commodity in the world of high major basketball. Over and over again around the nation a player at 6-foot-5, 6-foot-6 knocks out a bunch of shots over several games and earns offers. Cade Haskins Cade Haskins 6'6" | SF Delasalle | 2021 State MN (6-foot-5/6-foot-6) has three D1 offers, and if he has a game say, like what he did against Minnehaha Academy in the front of national eyes, he could earn a bundle of options.
Kyreese Willingham Kyreese Willingham 6'5" | SF Waseca | 2021 State MN of Waseca. Honestly I am shocked that more opportunity hasn’t come the way of Kyreese. He is a big guard/wing that handles, defends the best opposing players, has shot well at the arc (with a left handed touch) in all five games I saw him this junior year, and he has high major athletic ability. Honestly, seems like the perfect package for a ton of D1 offers to me. Maybe even high major.
Broden Lien Broden Lien 6'8" | PF ISA | 2021 MN of NCE/U-H. At this very moment it’s very hard to say exactly what type of player that Broden is prospect wise. Every situation he has been in he has been a top level player. Competing in northern Minnesota at the Class A level Broden takes games over. Sure it’s tough to see anybody go against Broden with similar size and mobility, but you can watch him play hard and hit perimeter jumpers and take something away from it. We saw Broden lead West Central United 16u to several big wins. We saw Broden be the best player on a Gain Elite 16u title team at event in Vegas. Broden plays hard, he is 6-foot-8, he’s agile, and he shoots the ball with range. Next up we need to see him play other top players to truly know what level of player he is.
Four More
Andre Gray Andre Gray 6'4" | SG Mpls North | 2021 State MN of Hopkins has the right agility and athletic ability. Also from Hopkins where his all around game grew.
Trey Longstreet Trey Longstreet 6'6" | SF Delano | 2021 State MN of Delano is big enough, athletic enough to get an Iowa State football offer.
Joshua Streit Joshua Streit 6'9" | PF Eden Valley Watkins | 2021 State MN of Eden Valley-Watkins was just offered by Cal Poly and the agility/size for a four man.
Xavier White Xavier White 6'6" | SF Hopkins | 2021 State MN of Hopkins. Xavier could be the true sleeper to this list. The genes are there (brother of Royce White), he’s being coached at Hopkins, growing skill set, and the length and timing as a defender. Could be a stock riser.
