Ian Golden | 2021 Broken Arrow PG | Oklahoma Hustle Black |
Golden’s speed paired with his vision of the floor made for a fun day for a few of his teammates. Helping Hustle to a 3-0 finish for the day, Golden has pretty good chemistry with his teammates, and that acquaintance was most salient with cross-court passes to his spot-up guys in the corners. When adding his speed, handles and foot-work into the mix, Golden has the opportunity to have a standout summer.
James Brown | 2021 Muskogee PG | Tulsa Hawks — Drake |
Brown made great down-floor plays for the Hawks and was able to create opportunities for others by utilizing his acceleration, speed in the open floor and elite accuracy while playing intuitively in the half-court. It wasn’t always wow passes that helped him rack up assists; it was often just finding the right shooter in the right spot on the floor to net a triple, a testament to the chemistry he shares with his fellow Hawks.
Jimauri Bradford | 2021 Glenpool PG | Tulsa Hawks — Drake |
Bradford, much like his aforementioned teammate, used his awareness of teammates to find scoring opportunities. He was fantastic when it came to the drive-and-kick, and he did a solid job at finding off-ball shooters in movement even through traffic.
Kole Johnson | 2021 Putnam City North PG | Top Notch Blue |
A fast and heady guard, Johnson has continually impressed this summer on a weekend-by-weekend basis. At the showcase, he was wheeling and dealing impressive passes in traffic, helping his posts find easy buckets and fostering cohesion on the offensive end.
Cody Nagy | 2021 Broken Arrow PG | Oklahoma Hustle White |
Nagy was in the field distributing dimes in the 8 a.m. matchup; that’s when I knew he was on. The incoming senior floor general was flashing his best skills, utilizing his awareness of teammates and down-floor vision to make crisp passes and dish some impressive assists for the Hustle team.
Terrill Davis Terrill Davis 6'1" | PG Choctaw | 2021 State OK | 2021 Choctaw PG | OK Swarm |
A heady on-ball playmaker, Davis used his most driving tools — tight handles, great vision and awareness — to create opportunities for teammates. He’s an exceptionally athletic prospect, and he was able to cut through traffic and provide on-point assists to his fellow posts and off-ball movers inside the perimeter.
Jonathon Box | 2021 Frisco Heritage (TX) PG | Swarm |
Box, our first out-of-state prospect review of the summer, did not disappoint in his first outing in the 918-area code. The on-ball slasher out of North Texas repeatedly delivered sharp passes into difficult windows with through efficiency, rendering spectators assured that his skill wasn’t anomaly. For the speedy point guard, making plays in heavy traffic was just another day at the office.
Ian Hislop | 2022 Tulsa NOAH PG | Tulsa Hawks — Hammons |
Hislop facilitated the ball to his teammates efficiently, especially in transition, and he showcased impressive top-gear control when slashing to drive-and-kick.
Landry Harris Landry Harris 5'11" | PG Edmond North | 2021 State OK | 2021 Edmond North PG | Oklahoma Power |
Harris showed off some new handles, his ever-evolving iQ and great poise as the primary floor general for Power, taking advantage of fast-break opportunities with down-court passing. His ability to advance the ball through defenses while making sharp plays down-floor and, most importantly, maintaining control, could be his ticket to the next level.
CJ Johnson | 2023 Mount St. Mary PG | Trae Young Elite |
Johnson displayed elite vision and acquaintance with teammates, especially given his age. He floated numerous passes into tight windows and was habitually aware of opportunities to let loose a down-court bomb to a teammate with quarterback-like accuracy.
