Spencer Alvarez Spencer Alvarez 6'6" | PF Columbia Heights | 2022 MN (6’6 2022 PF/C, Columbia Heights)- Spencer is one of the top shot blockers I’ve seen in the 2022 class, with impressive bounce and solid timing to contest everything around the rim. Offensively he sets strong screens and is a tough finisher through contact around the basket. He’ll play a key role in the post for this team.
Blessed Barhayiga Blessed Barhayiga 6'9" | C Osseo | 2022 State MN (6’9 2022 C, Osseo)- Also seeing big minutes in the post will be Blessed Barhayiga Blessed Barhayiga 6'9" | C Osseo | 2022 State MN . Blessed has a raw frame with strength, developing footwork, and a soft touch to finish with either hand. He’ll provide a big body in the paint that can clear out space to rebound, contest shots around the rim, and score off second chance opportunities.
Evan Boyd Evan Boyd 6'2" | SG DeLaSalle | 2021 State MN (6’2 2021 SG, DeLaSalle)- Evan Boyd Evan Boyd 6'2" | SG DeLaSalle | 2021 State MN figures to provide a scoring punch in the backcourt with his ability to shoot off the bounce. He has one of the smoothest pull-up jumpers from mid-range in the state, and can create looks while using a limited amount of dribbles. Boyd will also bring the DeLaSalle defense to the game, with constant effort and intensity on that end of the floor.
Muja Burton Muja Burton 6'4" | SF Columbia Heights | 2022 State MN (6’4 2022 W, Columbia Heights)- Burton has a chance to be one of the top scorers on this team, as he brings length and a floor stretching three point shot to the table. Muja has range well beyond the arc and is capable of shooting both off the catch and dribble, making him a player opposing teams will constantly need eyes on. Averaged 17 ppg as a sophomore at Columbia Heights, proving his scoring prowess.
Jon Haakenson Jon Haakenson 6'2" | SG Maple Grove | 2022 State MN (6’1 2022 G, Maple Grove)- One of two Maple Grove prospects on this team, Jon will play a versatile role for Howard Pulley. He can handle some ball handling duties, is an excellent straight line attacker, and has solid touch on his outside shot. Defensively he’s an extremely hard worker who won’t back down from any challenge.
Tre Holloman Tre Holloman 6'2" | PG Cretin-Derham Hall | 2022 State #57 Nation MN (6’2 2022 PG, Cretin-Derham Hall)- The known name on a national level, Tre Holloman Tre Holloman 6'2" | PG Cretin-Derham Hall | 2022 State #57 Nation MN holds multiple high major offers and will look to dominate at the 16u level. Tre has been playing up two age groups for a long time, and will now bring his high level passing ability to compete against fellow 2022 players. He’s so fast with the ball in his hands and has the ability to pick out passes that fans in the crowd wouldn’t even see coming. Add in defensive intensity and the ability to get to the rim and finish through contact, and Tre is the type of player who can dominate all facets of the game.
Hassan Kamara Hassan Kamara 6'4" | SG Columbia Heights | 2022 MN (6’4 2022 W, Osseo)- Hassan is a player with high potential, as he has size, strength, and emerging athleticism at the wing position. He should be able to contribute with his deep shooting range and size allowing him to guard multiple spots on the floor. Kamara will be one of the top shooting threats for this team.
Payton Mogire Payton Mogire 6'8" | C Maple Grove | 2022 State MN (6’8 2022 PF, Maple Grove)- Adding to the depth of post players is Payton Mogire Payton Mogire 6'8" | C Maple Grove | 2022 State MN , a player who stood out on Maple Grove’s JV team over the winter. He brings a long and lanky frame with mobility to the floor, and adds in toughness to compete on the glass. Offensively he’s still raw in the post but has a solid outside jumper allowing him to play as a stretch-four.
Caleb Siwek Caleb Siwek 6'1" | SG Rosemount | 2022 State MN (6’1 2022 PG, Rosemount)- One of the top point guards in the 2022 class, Siwek is a guy who can simply go and get a bucket. He averaged 20 ppg as a sophomore, utilizing his deep shooting range, shifty handle, and crafty finishing ability to score from just about anywhere on the floor. Caleb has the ability to take a game over scoring the ball, and opposing teams will be in trouble once he sees a few shots go through the net.
James Spencer James Spencer 6'6" | PF Park Center | 2022 State MN (6’5 2022 PF, Osseo)- It’ll be rare to find a time when James Spencer James Spencer 6'6" | PF Park Center | 2022 State MN isn’t the strongest player on the floor, as he has the strength and frame to simply overpower players in the post. He competes hard for rebounds and has an explosive second bounce to go up and score from second chance opportunities. James has exceptional athleticism for his size with the ability to defend multiple spots on the floor and sprint in transition to score some easy buckets around the rim.
