There are a lot of players that will garner attention if we resume play this summer but if we don’t here are a few guys that we should keep an eye on.
6’6 Jackson Holcombe Jackson Holcombe 6'6" | CG Timpanogos | 2021 State UT (Timpanogos)
Last season Jackson put up 15 points and he hauled in 6 rebounds on a good Timpanogos team. Last season he hit 27 three’s he can easily turn that into 35 for the season. Jackson has a 2-3 frame and game. As he gets stronger and quicker his stock will rise. He is a player to watch next season that had good number and they could increase.
6’11 Preston Squire Preston Squire 6'11" | PF Layton | 2021 State UT (Layton)
Layton will be among the favorites to win 6A next season and Preston Squire Preston Squire 6'11" | PF Layton | 2021 State UT is a big reason why. Not only is he one of the tallest players in the state, but he is a threat outside and can shoot virtually over everyone. Preston hit more three pointers than some shooting guards in the state. Preston scored 11 points and had about 5 rebounds a game. Look for him to be more of a threat especially because he plays on a team where you cannot double-team.
6’3 Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT (Farmington)
Collin put up over 17 points a game in his sophomore season. Minus a few games Chandler’s play was absolutely consistent. With maturity and extra work being put in this off-season look for Collin to not only be more consistent, but more electric on the floor. Along with his high production on the offensive end Collin dished out 3 assist a game. Look for Collin to pull down more boards and start the break off of a board.
6’7 Keba Keita Keba Keita 6'9" | C Wasatch Academy | 2022 State #157 Nation UT (American Heritage)
The rim protecting athlete that can jump out of the gym will be a force in 2A . He will be the most dominate big man in the small schools. He is a player that you have to watch in person. He runs the floor well. With additional coaching he could be special. He was definitely a player we were looking forward to watch this Spring and hope to still be able to watch this summer.
