Devante Powell Devante Powell 6'2" | PG Squalicum | 2020 State WA (Squalicum)
The 6-foot-2 guard has decided to stay instate and play in the Cascade Collegiate Conference for Northwest University in Kirkland. The senior is a physical guard who is hard-nosed and relentless on both ends of the court. A true floor general who displays great court vision, a quick first step, an efficient jump shot, and a crafty finish around the rim. Powell is a lockdown defender as well with good instincts of getting in the passing lanes. An overall high IQ guard who continues to get better.
Leo Ruiz (Mount Tahoma)
Ruiz is a very skilled big man. The 6-foot-5 senior has signed with Pierce College to compete in the NWAC. Ruiz has a great ability to score the ball in the paint but also has tremendous court vision. A player who is not flashy but does a lot of things correctly and efficiently. Ruiz is a tough and versatile big who plays with a high motor and is a monster on the boards. One of the best rebounders in the state who competed day in and day out. A player who will be an exciting player to watch in the NWAC.
Will Bailey (Riverview)
The Panthers standout has committed to also compete in the NWAC for Skagit Valley College under coach Carl Howell. Bailey is a bigtime athlete who can guard and play multiple positions. A dynamic player who can fill the stat sheet. The 6-foot-5 is a SCAC East league MVP and 2nd Team All-State player who scored 17 points, 11 grabbed rebounds, and dished out 4 assists. Big time potential who will be a threat in the conference.
