Jaden House Jaden House 6'4" | SG Middleburg | 2021 #246 Nation VA | 6’3” WG | Middleburg (#10 Overall 2021)
Commitment: High Point
House had originally reclassified to the 2021 class when he transferred to Middleburg last year and had seen his recruitment take off with the move, but in the midst of the Covid pandemic he decided to reclassify back up to 2020 where he committed to High Point. House is a guy who should come in ready to make an impact as he has a great frame and athleticism that should translate easily, and he can absolutely fill it up with the best of them. He has a chance to be a top scorer in the Big South in a few years.
Chase Beasley Chase Beasley 6'6" | SF St. Stephen's St. Agnes | 2020 State VA | 6’6” WF | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes (#36 Overall)
Commitment: Air Force
Beasley was sometimes forgotten about on an SSSAS team that was loaded with talent, but Air Force did their homework and get a big wing with tons of potential and a good base skill set. He’s a guy who thrives in transition and plays hard on both ends, he can impact the game in a number of ways and he can guard multiple positions as well. He’s the fourth Saint in the 2020 class to commit to a division one school.
William Lee William Lee 5'10" | PG Blue Ridge | 2020 State VA | 5’10” PG | Blue Ridge (#37 Overall)
Commitment: Dodge CC (KS)
Lee is another in a long line of smaller guards for Blue Ridge that have had success and will follow the likes of former Barons Josh Colon (Fordham) and Sardaar Calhoun (Florida State) by going the JUCO route. Lee isn’t the biggest guy but he has all of the tools you look for in a smaller guard as he is a pest defensively, he can score it in bunches and make others better and he has a toughness about him you can’t teach. He’s a guy who should see plenty of division one schools interested in him over the next few years.
Tyler Chatman Tyler Chatman 6'2" | SG Kings Fork | 2020 State VA | 6’2” WG | Kings Fork (#78 Overall)
Commitment: Hampton
Chatman was one of the best glue guys in the 757 as he helped King’s Fork to a 24-3 record on their way to the state championship. A strong guard with good feel and a good skill set, Chatman’s best asset is his ability to make shots and create spacing when he’s off the basketball. He’s a knock down shooter from deep who works well off the ball, he can be a very good secondary ball handler and he’s great in help defense as well.
Clint Wright Jr. Clint Wright Jr. 6'0" | SG Lakeland | 2020 State VA | 6’1” CG | Lakeland (#97 Overall)
Commitment: Georgian Court (D2 NJ)
Georgian Court does their homework and gets into the 757 quite a bit, and they got a good one in Wright Jr. who was one of the top scorers for a Lakeland team that won the Class 3 State Championship.
Jeriah Coleman | 6’11” C | Virginia Beach Sports Academy
Commitment: St. Francis (PA)
Coleman was a guy who was at Great Bridge Christian before prepping at the new VBSA this year where he was recruited by a wide variety of division one schools. We don’t rank Post Grad kids or he likely would have been ranked pretty high. Coleman is still somewhat of a project but he has good size and good mobility at his size, he can play in transition and he’s a great catch and finish guy and a rim protector in the paint.
NaQuan Lyons | 6’5” PF | Lake Taylor
Commitment: Virginia Union
Lyons is a kid I forgot to rank because I only saw Lake Taylor once this year and he was a transfer from Petersburg, but he’s the perfect kind of get in the CIAA. He isn’t the tallest post guy at about 6’6”, but he has great length and is quick off his feet to block shots and rebound at a high rate. He plays with a great motor on both ends, he does all of the dirty work and he doesn’t need the ball in his hands much to be effective.
Mohammed Mahadi | 6’0” PG | Thomas Jefferson
Commitment: Richard Bland College
RBC has had quite a class with multiple guys in our Top 150 committed to them, but Mahadi is a great sleeper get for them as well. A long point guard with good feel that makes an impact on both ends of the floor, he’s a guy who can play on or off the basketball and makes an impact in a number of ways. He’s a gritty kid with good feel and a good motor, he can score it in bunches and he can run the show.
