“A.P.” has been a relatively well-known name in the Tulsa Public Schools scene since his freshman year, but the jump he took in his junior season was over-shadowed and under-appreciated. The first few times I saw him, I thought he was a shooter, exclusively; namely a Curry template (albeit, if there is any mold to fit into, that of the only unanimous MVP in NBA history is a good one to pick). However, his prototype has vastly morphed, improved and expanded itself into that of a two-way hero with sneaky athleticism and a decent amount of power. Where he previously resigned to hitting those wow shots from behind the perimeter, Pritchard developed tight handles, a great mid-range game and keen floor vision, culminating to give him a newfound edge hitting those tough shots that you want to see as a recruiter. In fact, it would take a few pages to talk about everything he does better now; He doesn’t play with as choppy a style as he did his sophomore year but rather lets the game come to him in a smoother, seamless fashion. Consequently, his passing capabilities are off-the-charts and highly translatable. He does a better job of allowing defenders to bite with lateral movement, then attacking down-hill to the basket. His on-the-go style-of-play makes even his most unbridled improvisations appear calculated. It’s his charisma, confidence, “it-factor” or however call it. He even does a little bit of this now, as well. . . If you’re a mid-to-low major program at the Division-I level looking for a do-it-all guard with translatable skills on both ends of the floor who can guard their best guard, take a serious look at Pritchard. Here is a link to his highlight reel.

Sluice is a multi-talented scoring prospect whose stock, as a result of his exposure in the 2019 grassroots season, multiplied. I first saw Sluice at one of our events in which a few local coaches, including a PWP-staffer, tipped-off that he was a prospect who could blow up with exposure. The first three games I saw him were enough to exceed my expectations. Sluice’s game, primarily, is amplified to its greatest heights with the rock in his hands, though he can still make waves off-the-ball. He is an outstanding shooter who takes a medium-volume of shots on a high-percentage. He is as fundamental and developed as they come with college-height and a dash of explosive speed that he can further-improve in the weight-room. He doesn’t take gambles or commit turnovers from purposeless moves, though he will explore his talents when he needs an extra boost to beat taller or quicker defenders. Sluice is the type of guy you want with the ball in his hands in crunch-time. At the very least, his size and shooting capabilities translate, but I think his movement and athleticism are often overlooked, as well. I never want to put a lid on an athlete’s recruiting, so I will let you be the judge of his talents from his highlight reel — but a few respected sources and coaches have mentioned to me that they believe Sluice could top-out as a low-to-mid-major prospect by the end of his senior summer.
