#1 Jemel Jones Jemel Jones 6'2" | SG Eisenhower | 2020 State IL (Eisenhower)
The 6’2” senior guard was absolutely lethal from mid-range in the ICCP/Westmont Championship game against Tinley Park. I don’t know if he missed more than a couple all night long. Drilled them in the half court and transition. Also connected on a couple threes. Displayed his ability to get to the cup with slick takes to the rim. Despite scoring 36 points he also was an adequate passer giving it up when the defense collapsed on him. Active hands on the defensive end getting his hands on steals and deflections!
#2 Jamere Hill Jamere Hill 6'1" | PG Joliet West | 2020 State IL (Joliet West)
Hill had the best game we had seen him play at the Ridgewood Shootout against Niles North. He has always been solid when we saw him on the circuit, but never had that defining game. This was it. He was a force especially in the first half with his ability to win off the dribble for scores in the paint or dumping it off for finishes to teammates inside. Sound decisions as a passer. Also shot it very well from three with feathery shots going down from deep. He had 26 points.
#3 Bryce Coleman Bryce Coleman 6'6" | SF Proviso East | 2023 State IL (St. Joseph)
Coleman took his game to another level on the final day of the Proviso West Holiday Tournament. The 6’3” freshman has been very solid every time we have seen him flashing potential. This was his breakout game in our eyes. He came off the bench and impacted the game on both ends of the floor. Tough wing defender that has active hands and got several steals. Excellent wing rebounder that had multiple put backs. It was his shooting that caught our attention. Free and easy release and let it go with a ton of confidence. Knocked down an array of threes. Pretty good handles at a young age. Trending as one of the better freshman in the state early in the process. He had 22 points.
#4 Cooper Noard Cooper Noard 6'2" | PG Glenbrook South | 2022 State IL (Glenbrook South)
Noard continues to see his stock go up every time we evaluate him. He had a huge game aginst Cary Grove at the Lake Zurich MLK Tournament. Gritty leader at the point that has a floater game in the lane. Plus three point shooter that has deep range on his shot. Hit several of them with excellent form. Gets after it on the defensive end and is a sound playmaker as a passer. He had 22 points.
#5 Anthony Brown Anthony Brown 6'4" | PF Rockford Boylan | 2020 State IL (Rockford Boylan)
Brown was an absolute force against Richwoods early in the season! He completely took over the game in stretches. The 6’4” big bodied forward might not fit a true position, but he was the best player on the floor in this game and it wasn’t close. Brown is light on his feet for his size and handles it very well. Over and over again he took it right at the defense off the bounce and finished through them. He is nifty around the hoop with a soft touch and feel for scoring both through and around traffic. Scored on the block as well posting up with a spin move along with high/low conversions. Good area rebounder that snatched them with both hands. Was a shot blocking presence including the biggest one of the night on a LeBron come from behind block that completely turned the momentum late. He went for 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
