Starrell Hearns Starrell Hearns 6'2" | SG Patrick School National | 2022 State NJ (2021) | Carteret
Hearns was the top player on Carteret this season. He averaged 17.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game this season. He was a handful down low and showed an ability to step out and shoot from midrange. Hearns is one of the top big men in the state and that will continue through his senior year.
Chris Kobierowski (2021) | Monroe
Kobierowski and Andrew Turco Andrew Turco SG Monroe | 2020 State NJ were quite the inside out combination this season. the 6’4 Kobierowski averaged 16.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game as a junior. He showed a soft touch around the rim and ability to play with his back to the basket. Kobierowski will return as one of the biggest forces in the county a a senior.
Saleem Ibraheem (2021) | Wardlaw-Hartridge
Wardlaw-Hartridge had a balanced attack thanks to their dynamic duo of guards mixed with Ibraheem downlow. The junior averaged 11 rebounds per game this season. He showed quick feet and strong hands which helped on both ends. Ibraheem has excellent instincts and anticipation when the ball is in the air.
Mo Johnson (2021) | St. Joe’s Metuchen
Johnson showed flashes of being able to take over games on the offensive end. He plays with a certain aggression and passion that is hard to find. Johnson’s motor is everlasting and he knows how to keep the floor balanced.
Mekhi Johnson (2022) | St. Thomas Aquinas
The Trojans finally broke through and won the GMC Tournament this season. They had a strong forward down low in Derrick Grant Derrick Grant 6'5" | PF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2020 State NJ . He will be moving onto the Division I level and Johnson will take over as the premiere big man. He is a big bodied forward that can use his size and strength to dominate in the post.
Ronald Rosario (2021) | Perth Amboy Tech
Rosario was a big time rebounder on both ends for Perth Amboy Tech this season. He averaged over seven boards per game. Rosario knew exactly where the outlet was and always jump started the fast break.
