Some players obviously won’t have the opportunity as others since their team is very talented and you can’t feel their true impact since the talent and production is somewhat spread out on their teams.
I also have to take into account the players that are transferring out of their high schools.
Players like Landon Schumaker Landon Schumaker 6'6" | PF AZ Compass Prep | 2023 AZ , Duke Brennan Duke Brennan 6'10" | C Hillcrest Prep | 2022 State #219 Nation AZ and Andrew King Andrew King 6'3" | CG Bella Vista Prep | 2022 State AZ would of been very high on this list but transferred to preps.
It is just another fun way to give these players more exposure since we are still in doubt on the AAU season and maybe even summer HS ball.
I will start in the next article.
Remember, these are not player rankings but the competition they play against is important to me in this exercise.
Here is the Conference breakdown for my Top-140 most impactful:
6A 58 (The biggest schools with a lot of talent from top to bottom.)
5A 41 (Another deep group of schools with some top talent.)
4A 34 (Adding schools like Cholla, Paradise Honors and ALA-QC gives 4A more talent.)
3A 1 (Losing ALA-QC and Paradise Honors plus very good seniors graduating at Sabino and Valley Christian gives 3A arguably the least amount of impactful talent.)
2A 4 (SCA, Trivium and Rancho still have some talent.)
1A 2 (Obviously the smallest schools but I found two studs who will be dominant this season.)
