And normally the month of May is normally the free-agent period in grassroots as teams re-gear up for the Summer. Here are 6 prospects regardless of graduating class who would’ve made an impact.

Aaron just came off of a big junior season at Klein Oak High School. He increased his scoring average by +15 points a game and his rebounding and steals as well. He was going to be playing on Nikes EYBL circuit with the Houston Hoops. The spring LIVE period could’ve really helped him secure some scholarships. He does have one NCAA D1 offer on the table at this moment but would’ve had a lot more. He has also transferred to Legacy School to play a national High School schedule next year. Gets in the paint with ease, great handle on the ball, and can score from all three levels. His stock really sky rocketed from last year.

The long athletic sophomore with a long wingspan really burst on the scene last season during his run with JL3 on the E15 circuit. He had a very productive sophomore season for his high school squad and will be the main focus next year and they are dropping a class. He would’ve been playing with JL3 once again on the E16 Circuit of Nike and would’ve had a big impact once again.

This big strong wing who is uber athletic and can score from the outside. He also can bang down low and guard the four spot. This year he would’ve been on the Adidas Circuit the 3SSB playing with Team Harden. He would’ve showcased his ability to catch some bodies off of lobs and his ability to get to the rim with minimal dribbles.

Shawn is a tough sophomore. He is always in the right spots making big plays for his high school squad. He is a great rim runner and has a solid handle on the ball. He throws it down with authority. He would’ve been running with Team Harden on the 16U squad again on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. He currently has one NCAA D1 offer and could’ve walked away with more.
Sam Bradford 6’5” SF • Goose Creek Memorial • 2022
Sam has broken on to the scene this year for his high school squad. He led his team in points, rebounding, blocks, and FG %. He scores the ball very well at all levels on the court and has a good motor. He would’ve got some interest this spring as he was running with TTG (Trained To Go) grassroots squad on the Prep Hoops Circuit.
Mason McBride 6’4” SF • Manvel • 2021
Mason is very athletic and has a good skill set. He can score the ball from all levels on the floor. He has the ability to turn it on and off, and as the season was coming to a close for his squad he had the on switch on and wasn’t looking to let up. He would’ve carried that same momentum over into the Spring Grassroots season and would’ve walked away with his name on the recruiting board of a couple of schools.
