And normally the month of May is normally the free-agent period in grassroots as teams re-gear up for the Summer. Here are 6 prospects regardless of graduating class who would’ve made an impact.

Shaun is a big bodied prospect that has solid post footwork. He is very verbal on the court and plays extremely well around the rim. He can be very dominant on the low block and once he’s going it’s hard to stop him. He currently has a NCAA D1 offer on the table and was going to be playing on Nikes EYBL with Nike ProSkills.

Charles is a top 3 Greater Houston Prospect in his class and is ranked Top 15 in the State for his class as we all via Prep Hoops Texas. He is very solid around the rim and finishes at a high rate. One of the quickest jumping prospects I’ve seen at his size in a long time, it’s like watching a kangaroo spring up off the ground. He is a good rim runner and catches alleys all day long. He runs with Rytes Warriors an Independent Grassroots squad and he already has three NCAA D1 offers on the table and would’ve walked away with even more.
Brandon Love 6’8” PF • Fort Bend Bush • 2021
Brandon is another post player who game has improved from last year. He had a solid junior season on a traditional playoff team with Bush High School and put up some decent numbers. Last year on the grassroots scene he picked up some interest from D1 coaches inquiring about him. He is long and works hard in the paint. Has a really good handle on the ball and can take his opponent from the short corner. Finishes above the rim and blocks shots left and right. He will run with Houston Defenders on the Under Armor Circuit and would’ve turned interest into offers.
Adam Stewart 6’10” C • Concordia Lutheran • 2022
I’ve gotten to see Adam multiple times in open gym runs playing against current D1 players and he looked really well and played way better than he does in high school. He will be running on Nikes E16 Circuit with the Houston Hoops and if he played the way he was playing against the older more season led guys his recruitment would’ve sky rocketed.
Jelin Samuels 6’8” PF • Pasadena Sam Rayburn • 2021
He already holds an NAIA offer on the table from during the season. He had a solid finish to his high school season this past season that would’ve led right into the Spring for him. His game continues to improve and could possibly move up on the recruiting ranks by the end of his senior season if his games continues to improve the way it has.

Sean has a really strong sophomore campaign on a very young high school team who made a nice run in the playoffs. He was almost a walking double-double on the season for his squad and can stretch out the floor and be used on the perimeter as a stretch-four. He will be running with TTG (Trained To Go) on the Prep Hoops Circuit.
