2021 – Class A-Public
6-1 G Kolby Moss – Towns County
Quick and high release shooter. Has deep range from beyond the arc. Plays a solid floor game, stuffing the stat sheet nightly. Deceptively quick first step. Can finish with either hand when attacking the rim. Poured in 23.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1 steal per game.
6-3 G Derrick Harris Jr. – Mitchell County
Transitioned to the GHSA easily, averaging 21.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2 steals per game. Big guard utilizes the triple threat well. Creates his own offense off the dribble, able to pull-up from deep. Plays with good pace and can get to the basket efficiently. One of the best offensive players in Class A-Public.
6-2 G Leroy Wilson – Hancock Central
Plays bigger than his size, able to play multiple positions. Wilson has good strength which helps him when getting to the basket. He can overpower smaller guards and finish at the rim. He’s a quality rebounder from his position and has enough length to earn deflections on defense. Knocks down the open three. Averaged 16.1 points per game.
6-7 C Fred Spells – Portal
Athletic and slenderly long defensive specialist. Wrecks game plans with his shot blocking. Runs the floor and gets a lot of his offense on put-backs and dump-offs. Offense needs refinement. Willing passer out of the post. Tallied 7.7 points, 10.1 rebounds and 7.8 blocks per game.
5-9 CG Tray Wyatt – Bowdon
Crafty undersized guard that stays in attack mode. Quick enough to get into the lane and score on floaters. Can play the role of playmaker and get others involved while still hunting his own offense. Good passer in tight quarters.
6-0 SG Preston Kent – Georgia Military College
Strong-bodied guard with dangerous three-point range (56-159; 35%). Gets his feet set quickly beyond the arc. Makes quick precise moves on the perimeter and can blow by defenders once he gets his shoulders squared. Averaged 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals.
6-5 PF Kentravion Grier – Terrell County
High effort garbage guy in the paint. Active rebounder that gives his team second-chance opportunities. Quality shot blocker for his size. Runs the floor well. Range out to foul line. Averaged 11.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 2.3 blocks.
