In Louisiana, the amount of signings and commitments has been slow but steady. The last couple of weeks have seen commits place their names on the dotted line and others finally make a decision on a school. We will look at who were the latest signees and commits at the various collegiate levels.

Division I & Division II

Most of the Division I signees in Louisiana made their decisions during the early signing period in November.  The latest player to join the list of Division I commits is Scotlandville combo guard Taireon "Scootah" Joseph (pictured above).  Joseph is going to be an Austin Peay Governor and will be playing in the Ohio Valley conference.  He will be taking his championship mentality to a team that is on the rise in the OVC.  

Division III & NAIA Division I

Division III and NAIA Division I have had a history of providing a popular landing spot of Louisiana preps in the past.  State schools and neighboring schools in Texas have proven that Louisiana preps can excel at the next level. The latest examples were the signees and commits from the last couple of weeks.
