Rising Seniors to Watch in OC
Everett May Everett May 6'5" | SF Los Alamitos | 2021 State CA-S , Los Alamitos – May has the chance to shoot up the 2021 rankings list with a big senior season. The 6-foot-6 wing has good size and length for his position, improving athleticism and is one of the better three-point shooters in Orange County and should see his role expand as the Griffins’ potential go-to scorer next season.
Jake Blazona Jake Blazona 5'11" | PG Santa Margarita | 2021 State CA-S , Santa Margarita – If a Division 3 or NAIA school is in search for a true point guard and leader both on and off the floor, look no further than Blazona. At 5-feet-10, Blazona court vision and passing ability are on-par with the best point guards in SoCal regardless of class. He gets teammates the ball when and where they want it, limits turnovers, and has a high IQ for the game.
Preston Amarillo Preston Amarillo 6'4" | SF Fountain Valley | 2021 State CA-S , Fountain Valley – Amarillo is another guy who should be targeted at the D3-NAIA level because of his ability to impact every facet of the game. The 6-foot-4 wing/forward is a really good passer out of the high post position, can initiate offense with his ball skills and basketball IQ, and can score 15-feet and in on the face up, rip and go.
Erik Howlin, La Habra – The 6-foot shooting guard looked to have the green light this season and he capitalized on that by knocking down 77 triples during his junior season. Howlin is a consistent three-point shooting threat from multiple spots and ranges of the floor.
Dominic Parker Dominic Parker 6'0" | PG Villa Park | 2021 State CA-S , Villa Park – Parker is pushing 6-feet and really plays with good pace in transition. He has good speed in the open floor and has the ability to absorb and finish through contact in the painted area. Parker is a reliable ball handler and decision maker in both transition and half-court settings.
