New comer Cedar Valley was able to pull a win off against them but they were the only team that did so. Stansbury and Tooele have always been able to put together good teams in the past.
Juan Diego will be the clear cut favorite as they return one of the best point guards in the state in Talon Valdes Talon Valdes 6'0" | PG Juan Diego | 2021 State UT who has added another dimension to his game with the long ball. This will be hard for opponents to swallow because he is already hard to contain. Multiple teams tried a box and 1 or full denial and he was still able to score more points than anyone in all of 4A. With a lot of talent at the lower level that will fill in nicely look for Juan Diego to repeat as Region Champion.
Tooele will rely heavily on Justin Rodgers Justin Rodgers 6'5" | SF Toole | 2021 State UT as they have done for the past few years. Justin is another player than can score because of skill but also out of sheer determination. Justin will need some help to keep a team that is well coached like Cedar Valley off of their back.
Cedar Valley returns a lot of young talent. Carlos Monroy is a player to keep an eye on as he has the green light and he plays all over the floor. He is that player that can really make a difference in a tight game with his ability to slash and shoot.
Stansbury will be hurt from some graduating players but they have some size coming back. Landen Giles is a bright-spot coming back but he will need a lot of help. Stansbury had some players that could score at the lower level and some size that will need o step up to compete.
Ben Lomond improved and could make a jump in position. The graduate their leading scorers, we will see some unknown players have to make an impact. Odgen also hurts from some graduating players. The team that could also surprise some teams is Uintah as they have a dynamic scorer in Joshua Speirs Joshua Speirs 6'2" | SG Uintah | 2022 State UT who ahs the ultimate green light and could score in bunches.
