Rentz led Dell Rapids to a 16-4 record this year averaging 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a game. Now Colin is working during this down time to become an elite playmaker.
“During this pandemic, I have been going to the gym with my brothers and have been working on my ball handling on our own personal court,” Rentz explained. “I wake up at about 7:30 every morning to get my lift and ab workout in every day.”
And as far as workouts go when people get back in the gym, Rentz will continue working with one of the best trainers in the upper Midwest.
“I plan on sticking with my main guy Shane Hennen. I wouldn’t be where I am without his help of coaching me at Bartlett Basketball Academy. Because Hennen has moved to the Pentagon, I plan on playing with the 17u Schoolers and doing workout with Hennen at the Pentagon.”
Rentz has heard from some schools here and there but he’s still waiting for a program to take a big dive into his ability. When they do, this is what Rentz is looking for in a school.
“I am looking for any big program that believes in me and gives me a shot to prove myself at the next level,” Rentz.
Until that happens Colin will be at his own court, and at the Pentagon getting work in adding range and consistency with his jumper.
“I need to improve my three point shot and taking more shots in games,” Rentz said.
