Brady averaged 27.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game for Winner shooting 46 percent from the field and 85 percent from the foul line.
Time away from school and out of the gym has led to changes in the ways that Brady has went about his daily basketball routine but it has not slowed his work ethic.
“I’m lucky enough to have a hoop in my backyard so I was able to do some skill work and shooting out there and the track stayed open here so I was able to stay in shape and run up there,” Brady said. “The gyms in town opened back up about two weeks ago so it’s been really nice to get back into the gym and doing workouts and getting in the weight room.”
And back in the local gym Fritz has items he is focused on improving.
“I’ve definitely been working on getting stronger and more explosive,” Brady said. “The thing I have been focusing on the most though is improving my ball handling.”
Fritz has also been working out with his 17u teammates with the South Dakota Attack.
“We actually started doing some skill workouts with our team this week,” Brady said of the Attack. “I’m going to be playing with Matthew Mors, Paul Bruns, Jay Jurgens, Jake Layman, Tanner Teslaa, Xavier Van Beek, and Majok Majouk.”
Brady’s 17u season is a chance to pay in front of all the local college basketball programs. Brady should pick up several options but what is he looking for in a program?
“I’d say I’m looking for a school that has a good reputation with its education programs I’m thinking of,” Brady said. “I would want to go to a program that I have a chance to come in and compete right away. A school with a proven track record of player development.
“(A school) that has a strong fan base and a fun environment to play in terms of style of play/fit, I am open to anything. I can play fast and I am comfortable in a set play system.”
What schools have shown interest so far?
“As of now I’ve heard from most of the GPAC schools, Northern State, Southwest Minnesota State, and Wayne State,” Brady said. “This winter I visited Northern State.”
