Reason for the Ranking (Top 150) in 2021
Time to revisit the Class of 2021 rankings and adjust to account for the player’s growth or stagnation. Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak. Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at several Class of 2021 prospects and learn a little about their reputation.

The following players are now ranked in the Top 180 statewide (LEFT-new rank).

#146 Connor Beavon Connor Beavon 6'3" | SG Franklin | 2021 State TN (Franklin)
High IQ, check. Shooting touch, check. Understands how to play within a system, check. Height for position, check. Beavon is an unselfish player with both grit and patience. He doesn’t need to hold the ball long to be effective. Not a point guard. Fantastic outside shooter. Watch Beavon’s Hudl highlights.

#147 Ben Lambert Ben Lambert 6'0" | PG St. George's School | 2021 State TN (St. George’s)
Regular double-figure scorer for the Gryphons. Shoots well from various points on the floor. Ben needs more heft and upper body strength to compete beyond high school.
#148 Royale Tillman Royale Tillman 6'5" | SF Cane Ridge | 2021 State TN (Cane Ridge)
Royale Tillman Royale Tillman 6'5" | SF Cane Ridge | 2021 State TN was not Cane Ridge’s best player in 2019-2020. He, like nearly everybody in middle Tennessee, was overshadowed by Brandon Miller. Tillman is also a taller wing though without the superhuman handle of Miller. For Cane Ridge, Tillman is sort of a rim-runner. Strong body. Maybe more forward than guard? His projection is a little fuzzy because he doesn’t get to show his ability to handle or not handle much with CRHS. Improving his outside shot would help a great deal. TIllman averaged 5.4 and 3.3 in essentially 1/3 of the full 32-minute game.
Below you can read an evaluation I wrote on him 1.5 years ago.
Cane Ridge High School keeps churning out wonderful guards (Damion Baugh, Kyree Elder, Jaylen Whitaker, David Smith Jr., Chantz Hillsman). Royale will have to get touches in a perpetually feisty, penetrating guard-drive offense. By running the floor, with his fleet feet, Tillman will be ahead of the post defenders. Royale posted a sparkling fast time and currently stands 6-foot-2. At that size Tillman will have to capitalize in the open floor. There are not many big bigs in Cane Ridge’s schedule, but when CRHS finds them Royale will be outrebounded.
#149 Jayden Caira Jayden Caira 6'0" | PG Jo Byrns | 2021 State TN (Jo Byrns)
Caira averaged nearly 20 points per game in his breakout junior season. In addition to scoring 19ish ppg, Caira tugged down 5 rpg. As a prospect, Caira is very, very thin. Caira’s physical tools are nice. Quick feet and blindingly fast shot release. Caira gets his shot up over taller players with an unorthodox “wind up” that will work forever.
#150 Isaiah Allen Isaiah Allen 6'0" | PG Upperman | 2021 State TN (Upperman)
Natural leader. Poised guard. Steady, not too flashy. Good basketball I.Q. Allen is one of four Upperman Bees ranked in this same 2021 class!
