#121 Tehlor Buford Tehlor Buford 6'2" | SG Hillsboro | 2021 State TN (Hillsboro)
Good athlete. Not overly skilled as a shooter. Gets into the lane well. Needs to be more assertive with his touches. Hillsboro was loaded last year and Buford was far down the pecking order. He is one of two HHS players ranked in the ’21 class. Buford is more 2-guard than point guard. Better in the open floor than in the halfcourt setting. Loves the game.
#122 Brady Luttrell Brady Luttrell 5'10" | SG Kingston | 2021 State TN (Kingston)
By the time Brady Luttrell Brady Luttrell 5'10" | SG Kingston | 2021 State TN graduates in one year, he will remembered was a four-year starter. During this past season, Luttrell cultivated a strong 16 points per game. Luttrell is making his debut in the state rankings. He gets dinged slightly for his speed at 5-foot-10. Very slight of frame. Needs more meat to endure the physicality of college basketball. Ideally, shorter guards need to be blistering fast to compensate for the taller guards’ height. Luttrell is great at creating own shot though. Can hit from multiple points on the floor. Lutrell is a fantastic outside shooter, even off the dribble. Expect that shooting touch to get his foot in the door with college coaches. He had plenty of games during which he knocked down multiple triples. Highlights.
#123 David Sanger David Sanger 6'1" | SG Knoxville Webb | 2021 State TN (Knoxville Webb)
Exceptional passer. More importantly, Sanger is a willing passer. If he were quicker and more light on his feet, Sanger would project as a point guard. Instead, David Sanger David Sanger 6'1" | SG Knoxville Webb | 2021 State TN is almost certainly attempting to play college basketball as a combo guard or shooting wing. Sanger spent his pre-high school days as a forward. He was a big kid with insane tenacity. Sanger rebounded better than all of the other children and it allowed BMaze Elite to essentially play an extra guard. Since then, Sanger grew into a surefire guard and spent less time in the post, less time committed to rebounding. Now, Sanger’s game includes outside shooting and crisply moving the ball around the arc. His limitation is certainly footspeed. Great teammate. Division II ceiling.
#124 Macen Redner Macen Redner 6'1" | PG Brentwood | 2021 State TN (Brentwood)
Redner plays off the ball a lot for Brentwood High, but projects as a college “1”. Nice vision. Patient, but decisive.Spaces the floor well. Outside shot continues to be a weapon worth recognition. Defenses who leave him to help elsewhere do so at their peril. Macen Redner Macen Redner 6'1" | PG Brentwood | 2021 State TN competed in the inaugural NCAA Academy in late July of 2019. His evaluation by @PrepHoopsTN Andrew Force is below.
What did Redner bring to the event? What are some of his strengths and weaknesses?
Smart player. Redner is always on or very near the perfect spot on the floor. Clearly he is a cerebral player. The coach consistently delivered team instructions through Redner, which indicates he is easy to trust and likely to understand quickly.
Catch-and-shoot is a strength of Macen Redner Macen Redner 6'1" | PG Brentwood | 2021 State TN . He is pretty reliable from deep, as long as his feet are set first. Over the weekend, Redner didn’t show much consistency scoring off the dribble.
During open runs he provided steady passing, movement off the ball, and stand-still shooting.
Physicality is an aspect of the game that Macen can prepare for heading into the 2019-2020 season. He is quick enough to project as an above average guard defender. The muscular development needs to follow though. He can get his feet to the perfect spot and just be nudged away if the attacker is more sturdy then him. Basketball is not nearly the grab and hold game of the 90’s, but there is still room for big shoulders and stout chest/backs. Slashers and anybody defending a slash will notice the physicality. Macen will be a more threatening penetrator when he improves this aspect.
Feet are a strength. Macen changes direction sharply and purposefully.

#125 Keyonte’ Young Keyonte’ Young 6'1" | CG Douglass | 2021 State TN (Douglass)
Played sparingly as a freshman on Douglass High’s 2018 Class A State Runner-Up Team. Young is jet-quick at the guard position. Put up nearly 20 ppg this past season. Can score in deep with creative layups. Pressure doesn’t seem to rattle him. Plays Class A ball, which needs to be considered. One of the best scorers in the state.
