#111 Jacob Roberts Jacob Roberts 6'3" | PG White Station | 2021 State TN (White Station)
Jacob Roberts Jacob Roberts 6'3" | PG White Station | 2021 State TN displayed amazing court awareness and mental toughness last year. He finished with double-figures 8 times, including a exceptional 24 points against Houston High School. He scored half of the Spartan points in that loss. Roberts needs to be quicker, both with his feet and his hands. Though Roberts typically played point guard, he struggled with the extremely quick point guards in Memphis. As everybody knows, Memphis is a PG forge. Every year a new group of elite point guards graduates from Memphis and almost all of them are dangerously quick on the deck. Roberts is not just yet and it remains to be seen if he can get there. Strengths include passing, patience, size for position. With his height and weight, Roberts is certainly able to finish in traffic. The sturdy, powerful combo guard absorbs contact well and can finish despite it. Considering he owns an uncommon strength for the position, Roberts would be wise to exploit this even more.
Jacob Roberts Jacob Roberts 6'3" | PG White Station | 2021 State TN attended the NCAA Academy in July 2019 and the following in-person evaluation emerged. Since July 2019, Roberts slimmed down and improved his quickness slightly.
Offense (0-15): 10
Doesn’t need to shoot, but NEEDS the ball to play his best.
Jacob Roberts Jacob Roberts 6'3" | PG White Station | 2021 State TN is not an off-ball player. He wants to be in command. Even if he instantly passes to a post player or finds the wing for a jumper, he just wants to touch the ball every possession.
Needs more speed. A little street to his game.
Quick first step, but doesn’t create the ideal separation when he beats his man.
Strength is nice. During the NCAA Basketball Academy (July 2019), Roberts finished well in traffic when he was able to get the defender on his shoulder. He did not finish well in traffic when he tried to elevate over the defense. More shifty than explosive at this point in his development.
Defense (0-10): 5
Jacob Roberts Jacob Roberts 6'3" | PG White Station | 2021 State TN needs to improve defensively. Right now he is average on the ball and often lost off the ball. Can slide his feet ok, sometimes better than ok.
His team defense is poor. Roberts gets spun around too often.
His head gets turned around a lot. Roberts is average keeping his man in front of him. Off-the-ball he gets caught in a silo. No idea where the play is developing away from him. Needs to improve defensive court awareness a lot.
During one curl Saturday evening (7/27) he simply followed his man from two steps behind all the way through the play. The culprit might have been poor court awareness. It might have been uninvestment (unlikely). Perhaps, he was too slow to keep tight to his man.
This will be a concern as long as Roberts allows it to be a weakspot in his game.
#117 Nylan Dickerson Nylan Dickerson 5'8" | PG City University | 2021 State TN (City University)
The 2019-2020 campaign was a fantastic season for Nylan. Dickerson shot 60% from the field, enough to accrue 14 points per game for City University. Standing 5-foot-8, Dickerson will face the customary uphill battle to prove he can play college basketball. Though Dickerson is not the insanely skilled undersized guard that Tyler Harris or Kavion McClain Kavion McClain 5'6" | PG Whitehaven | 2020 State TN were (few are), he is certainly dynamic and creative. Dickerson sees the court well and makes great decisions in the open floor. Last year Nylan averaged approximately 9 assists per game.
#118 Caleb Wilson Caleb Wilson 6'2" | CG Cane Ridge | 2021 State TN (Cane Ridge)
Tall shooter. Spaces the floor very well. Handle is just ok. Fiery, bouncy. Read about an evaluation of Caleb back in December 2019.
2. Play of the game
Undercut from behind, junior starter Caleb Wilson Caleb Wilson 6'2" | CG Cane Ridge | 2021 State TN contorted his body enough to finish under the tin and-1. Cane Ridge pulled away during the same stretch that Caleb took over.
3. Best offensive performance
Caleb Wilson Caleb Wilson 6'2" | CG Cane Ridge | 2021 State TN (Cane Ridge 2021, G, 6-foot-3)
Hoppy. With his chest out and his legs flexed, Caleb bounded over the mass of men. Such a gifted athlete, Caleb is blossoming into a truly dominant high school basketball player. His third quarter was a thing of beauty. Caleb amassed his very own 10-2 run against USN. He will face better defenses, but this was a magical opening night for him.
#119 Cameron Bell Cameron Bell 6'4" | SF Red Bank | 2021 State TN (Red Bank)
Cameron Bell Cameron Bell 6'4" | SF Red Bank | 2021 State TN rebounds better than most. Bell began high school with the potential to be a soft-touch wing. He will exit high school as a bruising 250-pound monster of a man. Alas, Cameron Bell Cameron Bell 6'4" | SF Red Bank | 2021 State TN will choose to go the football route and he will be missed in our world. Still, he is one of the best high school basketball prospects for now. Take a look at his evaluation from June 2019 prior to his junior season.
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2021
- 6’3 3/4″
- Wingspan — 6’7″
- Height w/ shoes — 6’4 3/4″

- Hand Span — 10.0″
- Hand Length — 8.0″
- Lane Agility — 13.08
- 3/4 court sprint — 3.60
- Summer Combine Ranking — #12
- All-Star Top 20
- @PrepHoopsTN Top 100
NBA Stylistic Comparison: 2011 Rockets Chuck Hayes
College Projection: Football likely.
Cameron Bell Cameron Bell 6'4" | SF Red Bank | 2021 State TN earned his way onto the PrepHoopsTN Summer Combine All-Star Team with strength and toughness. In the last year, Cameron’s game has veered more towards the football-type hooper. He is much stronger physically than he was during 15u in the summer/spring of 2018, but he is also heavier with the muscular development. This makes him a forward all day. At 6-foot-4, 200+ pounds, any dreams of him becoming a physical shooting guard are out the window. He is a low post beast with rebounding skills and some toughness in tight.
What Cameron brings to a basketball court is willingness to bang and bump in deep. His improving strength makes him a daunting mark at varsity level. His shoulders batter into defenders and there are few players in Chattanooga willing to stand firm.
#120 Madison Peaster Madison Peaster 6'2" | PG Arlington | 2021 State TN (Arlington)
Impressive height for a point guard. Featured recently in a PrepHoopsTN story by @CourtneyHoops90 Asher Smith.
