Kurtis Beck, 6’4, G/F, 2022, Nemaha Central
An intelligent and mobile forward who can make plays defensively and then run the floor and get transition looks around the glass. He has good size and long arms and is constantly looking to get a hand on the ball whether he is jumping passing Lanes or looking to contest shots are there on the lower high post. He also has the speed needed to make plays on the perimeter and is agile and an unselfish player.
Tanner Meyer, G, 2021, Wellington
An impressive scoring guard for Wellington who Can connect from several feet beyond the 3-point line. He can create with his dribble and has a nice euro-step and can finish with either hand around the glass. He also is good at finding angles inside Winnie attacks the basket and can also get to the free-throw line where he connects. A creative all-around scoring option with solid range.
Vance Shewey, 6’4, F, 2021, Meade
An impressive rebounder and scoring option for Meade who has good agility and toughness. Shewey is an underrated prospect in 1A who led his team in scoring, rebounds, steals and blocked shots. He does absolutely everything he can to help his team when on both sides of the floor and he has the size and athleticism to make things happen. He averaged 18.2 points, 1.8 assists, 9.1 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.9 blocks per game. He shot 54 percent from the field and 39 percent from 3-point range.
Aaron Skidmore, 6’3, F, 2021, South Gray
A scoring machine who can make plays inside and outside, Skidmore shows a good upside who has athleticism and a nice touch to his shot. The 1A first team All-State performer looks to use his speed and physicality to his advantage both in transition and in half-court settings. He can create buckets on his own and scores well coming off screens and after the catch. He rebounds and fights for position and can contest shots and make plays with and without the ball in his hands.
Taylor Zarybnicky, 6’3, F/C, 2021, Wheatland-Grinnell
Zarybnicky is a strong inside-outside player who can outmuscle opponents inside and put up second-chance buckets through contact. You can connect from the free throw line and is a good passer and a strong defensive presence. Also a player who can score in a variety of ways. The leading scorer for Wheatland-Grinnell’s returners, Zarybnicky averaged 12 points, 5.4 rebounds, one assist and 1.4 steals per game.
