Player Rankings: C/O 2023 New Additions
The Spring story of the Nevada 2023 rankings are new additions to the list. The c/o 2023 grew in size from 17 to over 40 players. Expect this list to continue to grow as more and more young players emerge. In this article, PH takes a look at some of the players making their debut in the c/o 2023 rankings.
Karson Roberts Karson Roberts 5'10" | PG Bonanza | 2023 State NV 5’10 PG Bonanza (#11) – Probably should have been on the list initially. I went back and watched Roberts’s performance at last fall’s WODE camp. He has a great feel for the game and is a terrific penetrator and distributor. Roberts put together a fabulous freshmen season for the Bengals and certainly has proven to be one of the top players in this class.
Nakalya Fabello Nakalya Fabello 5'10" | PG Valley | 2023 State NV 5’10 PG Valley (#13) – Speaking of terrific freshmen seasons. there’s Fabello. The freshman was the leading scorer for Valley last year, showing off his scoring and shooting ability. Fabello had 13 double-figure games last season while shooting over 43% from behind the arc.
Osvaldo Biebrich Osvaldo Biebrich 6'6" | C Desert Pines | 2023 State NV 6’5 PF Desert Pines (#17) – To be honest a big part of Biebrich’s rise is his potential. The big man is still raw and in the process of developing a back to the basket game. Biebrich however has good hands and is a willing rebounder. Already standing at 6’5 if he continues to work, expect him to develop into a productive big man.
Giali Chapman Giali Chapman 6'3" | CG Mojave | 2023 State NV 6’0 PG Centennial (#20) – If you follow Prep Hoops then you knew that Chapman would be making an appearance in the rankings. A versatile guard that is equally comfortable playing either backcourt spot, Chapman can shoot it, and handle at a high level.
Joshua Valencia Joshua Valencia 6'3" | C GV Christian | 2023 State NV 6’3 C Green Valley Christian (#22) – Valencia is a beast. The 250 lb center put together numbers simply too good to ignore at GVC. The two sports star is a high-level rebounder built like a D1 tight end.
Tylen Riley Tylen Riley 6'2" | CG Durango | 2023 State NV 6’0 SG Durango (#25) – I’m really excited to track Riley’s development. Riley is a quick, explosive guard that excels at getting to the rim, finishing in transition, and locking up ballhandlers. Riley is good on the ball and plays passing lanes well.
