Below you will find, listed in alphabetical order by last name, 10 of the top ball-handlers from PG County. This is the first part of a series that will aim to highlight players based on various superlatives.
Note: these superlative lists will not be mutually exclusive. If someone can handle the ball and do something else (i.e. shoot) at a high level, they will be included in both lists.
Ryan Archey Ryan Archey 6'0" | PG Gwynn Park | 2022 State MD | Gwynn Park ’22
Archey is an unselfish lead guard prospect who is a reliable primary ball-handler. His game is predicated on getting into the paint and creating shots for his team. Archey took the keys to Gwynn Park’s offense last year and should continue to improve along with it moving forward.

At 6-foot-5, Ellerbe is a jumbo playmaker with above-average handles for his size. He keeps the ball on a string and can survey the floor because he doesn’t look down while dribbling.

Fauntleroy is a confident guard with a tight handle. He is a slasher who is adept at applying constant pressure on opposing defenses with his relentless paint-getting ability.

You won’t find many on this list who can consistently break defenders down off the dribble like Thomas. He’s a fearless combo guard who constantly looks to penetrate defenses and attack the rim with his superior handles.

Williams is a super quick guard with incredible toughness. For what he lacks in height, he more than compensates for with his intangibles and skill set.
