Always in the top 3, Kennedy Chandler Kennedy Chandler 6'1" | PG Sunrise Chrisitan | 2021 State #14 Nation KS fell from #1 to an imported talent named Moussa Cisse Moussa Cisse 6'11" | PF Lausanne Collegiate | 2020 State #6 Nation TN . The 6-foot-11 superstar is lean, long, and talented. Kennedy’s dominance is unmatched for guards in Tennessee and few nationally hold a candle to Chandler. Cisse is just beginning to show hints of his potential greatness. Bigs take longer to develop and Cisse appears certain to do plenty of that. Like his older brother Chandler, Johnathan Lawson Johnathan Lawson 6'8" | SF Houston | 2021 State #112 Nation TN is a mainstay in the top 10 and his Mr. Basketball honor proves that he is productive on top of his potential. While the PrepHoopsTN rankings are based on potential, there is no denying the youngest Lawson brother is the most productive Class AA player right now. His limitations are few and his skills are many.
If you are looking to the bottom half of the top 10 for a climber, then consider both Mason Miller Mason Miller 6'9" | SF Houston | 2021 State #92 Nation TN and David Dixon David Dixon 6'8" | PF TMG Prep Academy | 2021 CA-S . These two are still maturing physically, growing in to their tall, athletic frames. The bloodlines of both imply a tremendous growth to their already dominant games. Kameron Jones Kameron Jones 6'4" | PG ECS | 2021 State #177 Nation TN , Alden Applewhite Alden Applewhite 6'7" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2021 State #126 Nation AZ , and Isaiah Jones Isaiah Jones 6'8" | SF Arlington | 2021 State TN are all tremendous scorers right now. Applewhite managed a sparkling comeback season after injury in 2019. The two Jones scorers played for Team Thad 16u a year ago and continue to require a more massive toolbox for their expanding games.
Expansion to 180 Prospects
With only a senior season remaining for the Class of 2021, the need to evaluate and promote a wide assortment of talented players was pressing. The Class of 2021 is deeper than any in the existence of PrepHoopsTennessee. From 2018-2020 there were never more potential Division 1 players. Truthfully, 35 players in the class now have or will have D1 offers by the time they graduate high school. In Tennessee, we generally have about 10-15 per class.
