These rankings take into account among other things, players’ production from the 2019-20 season, as well as any camps, tournaments, or events taking place before the cancelation of the grassroots Spring season. In this article, PH takes a look at the top pure point guards making an appearance in the c/o 2021 rankings.
Keshon Gilbert Keshon Gilbert 6'2" | PG Durango | 2020 #188 Nation MO 6’2 Durango (#6) – KG2times is your prototypical PG. He sees the floor, has a wicked handle, and is the consummate floor general.
Jaycob McBath Jaycob McBath 6'0" | PG Skyline Prep | 2022 State AZ 6’0 Desert Valley Prep (#21) – High IQ fundamentally sound player. McBath excels at P&R offense and is able to get his shot and create for others off of it.
Cort Ballinger Cort Ballinger 5'10" | PG Bishop Manogue | 2021 State NV 5’10 Bishop Manogue (23) – Tough gritty player. Ballinger is willing to sacrifice his body for the squad and is a good defensive player on the ball and while playing the passing lanes.
Isaac Wood Isaac Wood 6'2" | PG Galena | 2021 State NV s 6’2 Galena (#30) – Has a terrific handle and can shoot it from the outside. Woods is better in an up-tempo game but has the IQ and skills to run an offense from the PG position.
Joseph Summers Joseph Summers 5'11" | PG Carson City | 2021 State NV 5’10 Carson (#38) – High IQ guy that excels at playing stop and start basketball. Good shooter that can space the floor from the PG position.
Lucas Walker Lucas Walker 5'11" | 155 lbs | PG Moapa Valley | 2021 State NV 5’11 Moapa Valley (#39) (featured image) – Good driver, and strong finisher. Walker plays with good pace and likes to get into the lane and either finish or dish to teammates.
Xakime Milton Xakime Milton 5'8" | PG Centennial | 2021 State NV 5’8 Centennial (#58) – Ubber quick PG from end to end, Milton has good one on one ability, and is one of the fastest players from end to end in the state.
DJ Turner DJ Turner 5'11" | PG Shadow Ridge | 2021 State NV 5’11 Shadow Ridge (#62) – A physically built PG that is a willing defender, as well as tempo changer.
Javi Mesa Javi Mesa 5'10" | PG Foothill | 2021 State NV 5’7 Basic (#68) – Mesa has a tight handle and can break players down in 1 on 1 situations.
Noa Del Pozo Noa Del Pozo 6'2" | PG SLAM | 2021 State NV 6’2 SLAM (#71) – NDP is a great outside shooter with a good handle and break down ability. He can get his own shot or serve as a floor spacer without the ball.
