Caleb Duffield, ND Attack
Duffield has been one of the best scorers in Class B each of the last two years and showed last summer on the grassroots circuit that he can impact the game against heightened competition. He’s a combo guard who can shoot it from deep, create his own shot, make plays in secondary fashion. Playing this summer would allow him to potentially showcase more playmaking ability and test him from a defensive standpoint.
Jase Crockett, ECI
Crockett is one of the best guards in North Dakota’s 2022 class and coming out of Northern Cass, he’s a potential all-state guy each of the next two years. He’s a terrific two-way guard who can score from all over the floor, get into the paint and make plays and put pressure on the ball defensively. An opportunity going against high-quality guards on a regular basis would be excellent exposure for him.
Payton Martin, ND Attack
Payton Martin is one of the most explosive scorers in the state and a lethal 3-point shooter. He’s got good length for a wing and while he’s a little under the radar playing for Drake/Anamoose, he’s a talented player. Exposure is something he’d benefit from a great deal and playing on the grassroots circuit would allow him to showcase other areas of his game against heightened competition.
Carson Lamp, ECI
Lamp is coming off an awesome junior season in which he earned all-state honors and helped lead Jamestown to the Class A state semifinals. He’s a talented combo guard who doesn’t have great height, but is strong with the ball and capable of impacting the game in a lot of areas. He’s a solid defender, excellent shooter, strong driver and capable facilitator. Playing with ECI this summer would only continue to highlight those strengths and give him further opportunity to run a team.
Lucas Schumacher, ECI
Schumacher is in a similar boat to Crockett in that he’s one of the elite level Class B players in the state and an opportunity to show his overall game on the grassroots circuit would be further exposure when he probably doesn’t get a ton during the winter months. His role would be a lot different, as he’s tasked with doing an incredible amount for his high school team, whereas playing on the AAU circuit would allow him to slide into a more natural niche.
