The recruiting process for some has been long but it is well worth it, and it will be exciting to follow the athletes as they continue to their student-athlete career at the next level.
Tanner Toolson Tanner Toolson 6'4" | SG Union | 2020 State WA (Union) – Committed to Brigham Young University
Washington State’s Mr. Basketball committed via social media that he will be a Cougar. The 6-foot-5 guard has extremely polished his game becoming one of the best players in the state. Toolson is extremely athletic, displaying strong capabilities of scoring the ball at all three levels efficiently. A grown leader on and off the court and a complete winner.
Grant Hunt (Eastside Catholic) – Committed to Whitman University
The quick guard will suit up for the Blues. A scrappy guard who flat out competes on both ends of the court. A player who does the little things to help his team succeed. Hunt loves to push the ball in transition and attack the basket or even find the open man. A guard who can also shoot the ball efficiently. Hunt is crafty when finishing around the rim and is a terrific lockdown defender.
Cole Bajema (Lynden Christian, University of Michigan) – Transferring to the University of Washington
The 6’7 wing has recently announced via social media that he will be staying home and suiting up for the Huskies. A very versatile and athletic player who can flat out scorch the net from anywhere on the floor. Bajema can also put the ball on the floor and create opportunities off the dribble and around the basket. A well-developed player who is very efficient offensively. A player who excelled tremendously during high school and really made a name for himself nationally.
Griffin Baker (Eastside Catholic, University of Redlands) – Transferring to Point Loma University
After finishing his freshman season at the University of Redlands, the versatile big man will be heading to San Diego to play for the Sea Lions. Baker has a very quality year for the Bulldogs scoring nearly 14 points while grabbing 6.4 rebounds and dishing 1.5 assists. The 6-foot-7 Forward is a high IQ player who scoring the ball efficiently shooting 61.3% from the field and 52.3% from beyond the arc.
