A well-built, physical lead guard, Porter changes speeds well and uses that to get to the bucket for finishes. He also has shown a nice pull-up jumper and the ability to score from all three levels. He led the Tigers with 119 assists and 82 steals while averaging 17.3 points a game.

A lightning-quick guard with excellent handles, Henderson thrives on getting into the paint, where he’s a creative finisher. He needs to keep growing and adding strength to his frame, but he’s a bulldog on both ends of the floor who averaged 17.2 points a game as a freshman in the best league in the state.

Ranking: 11

A quick lead guard with a great feel for the game, Reed started for 4A Kennedy as a freshman and led the team in assists with a better than 2-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He sees the floor well and gets other involved at a high level. He particularly thrives playing in the pick-and-roll.

He needs to add strength to his frame, but he’s a knockdown shooter who limits turnovers and keeps the ball moving on the offensive end.    Tate PetersenTatePetersen5'9" | PGMonticello | 2023StateIA, Monticello Ranking: 13 A smart lead guard with a good feel for the game, Petersen led Monticello in 3-point shooting, knocking down nearly 43% of his attempts from the arc. He handles it well and is a great shooter, but needs to continue to develop his all-around skill set.    Keaten BondersonKeatenBonderson6'0" | PGGehlen Catholic | 2023StateIA, Gehlen Catholic Ranking: 15 A small but effective lead guard, Bonderson led all freshman in scoring, averaging 18.4 points a game for the Jays. He competes on the glass, led his team in steals, and is a capable perimeter shooter. He can attack off the dribble and get to the bucket for finishes with either hand.    Cole KilburgColeKilburg5'8" | PGNorth Scott | 2023StateIA, North Scott Ranking: 16 Klburg played varsity ball as a freshman at one of the top 4A schools in the state, providing a confident scorer off the bench. He’s equally adept shooting the 3 as he is getting to the rim, and he’s a strong perimeter defender and facilitator.    Zach LutmerZachLutmer6'0" | PGCentral Lyon | 2023StateIA, Central Lyon Ranking: 18 A crafty scorer who led the Lions in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals as a freshman, he can get the job done at all three levels. He has solid footwork and great touch around the rim, utilizing a strong floater game to score over bigger defenders.   Mason CoppockMasonCoppock5'11" | SGWest Sioux | 2023StateIA, West Sioux Ranking: 20 The younger brother of Bryce CoppockBryceCoppock5'10" | SGWest Sioux | 2020StateIA, one of the state’s all-time best scorers, Mason shot just under 42% from 3 as a freshman. He’s really strong in catch-and-shoot situations and should develop into a solid all-around scorer during his high school career.   Masin ShearerMasinShearer5'7" | PGMontezuma | 2023StateIA, Montezuma Ranking: 21 Like his older brother Trey ShearerTreyShearer5'10" | PGMontezuma | 2021StateIA, Masin is a knockdown shooter from behind the arc and a really good ball handler. He changes speeds and directions well and has solid footwork. He needs to add a lot of strength to his frame, but there are pieces here to work with.    Cade KeldermanCadeKelderman5'9" | PGWaukee | 2023StateIA, Waukee Ranking: 22 A pass-first point guard with good court vision and ball-handling abilities. He can get to the rim and finish with either hand and is a solid on-ball perimeter defender.   Ethan PattersonEthanPatterson5'10" | SGWashington | 2023StateIA, Washington Ranking: 23 Averaged over 10 points a game as a starter for a solid 3A team. He shoots it particularly well off the catch, moving well off the ball and he has his feet set and squared on the catch with a quick release.    Max BurtMaxBurt6'0" | PGNewman Catholic | 2023StateIA, Newman Catholic Ranking: 24 Burt is a solid floor general who distributes the ball at a high level and can get to the bucket for scores of his own.
