ND Attack has been one of the top grassroots programs in North Dakota consistently over the years and this year’s 16U team has some intriguing talent from out west.
Here is a quick look
Guards: Britton Cranston, Grant Bittner, Sam Brumfield, Isaac Friese, Adam Bitz
Cranston was a regular last year for Watford City and while the team struggled all year, his development throughout the season was a bright spot. Cranston is small, but he’s a decent outside shooter and can create for his teammates.
Bittner saw sparing minutes last year for Dickinson, showing solid 3-point shooting. With a big group of seniors graduating, he’ll have a chance to step into significant minutes starting next winter.
Brumfield didn’t play much for Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier last year but will be one of the guys expected to fill a bigger role next year.
Friese played a bit role for Harvey/Wells County last year and has the ability to take the next step in his upperclass years.
Bitz played solid minutes at Valley City and showed a solid shooting ability. If he can improve as a finisher, he’s got a chance to be a productive guard in the EDC. This is a big summer for him to improve the other areas of his game.
Forwards: Brock Carpenter, Eric Wentz, Taven Coon, Tristin Symionow
Carpenter is from Northern Cass and while he didn’t play a ton as an underclassman for the Jaguars, he’s got a good opportunity to move into a significant role next year.
Wentz will be one of many to-be juniors potentially stepping into big minutes next year for Minot, so an opportunity to play against top competition this summer would be huge for his development.
Coon was a productive player for Glendive, Mont. last season and brings some shooting to this group.
Symionow is from Dickinson and didn’t see varsity action last year, but similarly to Bittner, he’s got a shot to play big minutes next year.
