Below are five prospects from the Hampton Roads Area that could have used the spring to enhance their recruitment.
6’2 Allen Strothers Allen Strothers 6'2" | PG Menchville | 2021 State VA | Menchville
Strothers has been a known player around the state for quite some time now and I was really looking forward to watching him this spring. He has good ball handling skills, can run an offense well and knows how to get his teammates involved. He was still waiting for that breakout type performance and I believe that definitely could have occured this spring.
6’10 Matt Nunez Matt Nunez 6'11" | C Hargrave | 2022 VA | Walsingham
Nunez is a solid mid major prospect that plays extremely hard in the low post. I have seen him finish well around the rim, rebound the ball well and he has the ability to alter shots. Right now a few local mid major schools are hard on him but I think that list could have even grown this spring with the potential he brings on the court.
6’1 Christian Moore Christian Moore 6'1" | CG Cape Henry | 2021 State VA | Cape Henry
Moore brings good playmaking skills to the court and is one of the more exciting players to watch from the 757. He has a winning attitude after all of his success at Cape Henry and is a prospect that could have made a name for himself this spring.
6’3 Jaylani Darden Jaylani Darden 6'3" | CG Norview | 2021 State VA | Norview
Darden saw a big jump in the most recent updated rankings for the Virginia 2021 class and colleges would have definitely taken notice this spring. He is a very solid all around guard that can impact the game in a variety of ways.
6’4 Quentin Livingston Quentin Livingston 6'4" | SF Kings Fork | 2021 State VA | Kings Fork
Livingston is one of the more versatile players in the 757 and definitely would have shown that off in front of college coaches this spring. He can score the ball inside, shoot it from the perimeter, rebound the ball on both ends and defend well.
