There were a number of guys that made moves up in our last iteration of the rankings and here’s a look at the top stock risers (listed in the order of biggest jump).
Austyn Shipps Austyn Shipps 6'1" | CG Cleveland | 2020 State OR , Cleveland – #71 to #53 (+18)
Shipps started as a junior at Cleveland but remained largely in the background. That changed for the 6-foot-1 combo guard his senior season as he emerged as the Warriors top player, leading the team in scoring (12.4 ppg) and assists (3.0 apg) while helping the team finish in third place in the PIL and earn a playoff berth. A hard-nosed competitor on both ends who is especially dangerous off the dribble, Shipps is unsigned and open to a number of JC options for the college level.
Kruger Edwards Kruger Edwards 6'5" | PF Crater | 2020 State OR , Crater – #68 to #51 (+17)
Blessed with a solid frame and good athleticism at 6-foot-5, Edwards started putting together his physical gifts along with basketball skills to really produce as a senior. He improved on his ability to take the ball to the basket, where he was able to either finish through contact or draw fouls and convert at the free throw line (78%). He was solid on the boards and was a threat to block shots when teammate Nate Bittle was pulled away from the basket.
DeRay Seamster DeRay Seamster 6'1" | CG Central Catholic | 2020 State OR , Central Catholic – #31 to #18 (+13)
Due to injury, Seamster didn’t get a chance to really showcase himself until this past year and the 6-foot-1 senior really balled out. The combo guard contributed in every way on the court on both ends, finishing averaging 13.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.0 apg, and 2.4 spg. Seamster has great length which allows him to be a lockdown perimeter defender and he can not only knock down the three but also get out in transition and finish at the rim. Chaminade was enamored enough to offer him a scholarship and that’s where Seamster signed this spring.
Kieran Pruett Kieran Pruett 6'0" | CG South Salem | 2020 State OR , South Salem – #90 to #77 (+13)
Pruett transferred over to South Salem from West Salem and immediately settled into a starting role. Previously known the most as a hustle guy, the 5-foot-10 guard didn’t let down at all defensively but also stepped up on the offensive end. Pruett capably played both guard spots and in many ways was the glue for the Saxons in their run to the state tournament. He’ll be staying close to home for college having signed with Chemeketa.
Casey Graver Casey Graver 6'4" | SG Lake Oswego | 2020 State OR , Lake Oswego – #80 to #69 (+11)
Graver has been known throughout his career as a shooter but his senior year, he took it to another level. The 6-foot-4 wing hit a multitude of buzzer-beating and game-winning shots and his clutch gene, gritty play, and emotional leadership helped Lake Oswego run the table in the loaded Three Rivers League and earn another trip to the state tournament. Graver is ranked lower on the list due to the fact he’s not planning to play college ball (he’s focusing on journalism at Kansas), but a rise in the rankings was still necessary.
