COMMITMENTS
The biggest news comes from 2021 Dulaney point guard Ryan Conway Ryan Conway 6'0" | PG Dulaney | 2021 State #111 Nation MD and his commitment to Seton Hall. Conway had originally scheduled to announce his decision Saturday evening, but decided to delay it to Monday evening. There were some questions if he was reconsidering his initial decision, but that wasn’t the case. Conway is an elite three-level scorer who fits the Seton Hall point guard mold of recent years very well. As he gains experience, he could be a name we hear a lot about in the Big East.
St. Stephens & St. Agnes 2020 wing Chase Beasley Chase Beasley 6'6" | SF St. Stephen's St. Agnes | 2020 State VA committed to Air Force. The 6-foot-7 wing is an explosive finisher in the open floor and brings versatility on both ends.
American International (Ma.) is making an impact in the DMV area. Just weeks after gaining the commitment from Takoma Academy wing Tyrae Washington Tyrae Washington 6'7" | PF Takoma Academy | 2020 State #444 Nation MD , Gonzaga guard Carlos Hubb Carlos Hubb 6'2" | SG Gonzaga | 2020 State MD and DeMatha guard Donovan Miller Donovan Miller 6'1" | CG DeMatha | 2020 State MD both committed as well. The Yellow Jackets will have no shortage of talent and experience of playing in big games with their three freshmen.
2020 Mt. Zion guard Xavier Joyner Xavier Joyner 6'2" | CG Mt. Zion Prep | 2020 State MD gave his pledge to Concordia (NY). Joyner will add much needed shooting to the Clippers’ roster.
2020 New Town guard Twan Carter Twan Carter 5'9" | CG New Town | 2020 State MD committed to Notre Dame College of Ohio. Carter is a 5-foot-9 sniper who put together big time scoring performances and played a key role to the Titans repeating as Baltimore County champions.
Harford Community College adds another Mervo guard to the mix in Teon Rushing Teon Rushing 5'9" | PG Mervo | 2020 State MD . Rushing will join his fellow backcourt mate Demonee Carter Demonee Carter 5'11" | PG Mervo | 2020 State MD as the two prepare for the MD JuCO Conference. Rushing is a tough-nosed guard who brings effort and energy defensively and a good feel as a scorer.
2020 Edgewood guard Christian Corley committed to Prince George’s Community College. The 5-foot-10 southpaw is a crafty point guard who can score from three and around the rim. He showcases solid vision and anticipation as a play maker as well.
Gaithersburg senior Chris Kouemi Chris Kouemi 6'4" | PF Gaithersburg | 2020 State MD will head to Washington College for his college career. The 6-foot-4 undersized forward will bring great energy inside as he did for Gaithersburg this season before suffering an injury in late January. Kouemi was a double-double threat every time he stepped on the floor.
2020 Gilman center Roman Hinds Roman Hinds 6'9" | C Gilman | 2020 State MD will attend Swarthmore College. The 6-foot-9 big man has steadily improved over the past calendar year and should have an immediate impact next season as a freshman.
Former Boys’ Latin forward Jake Nichols will head to George Mason as a preferred walk-on. Nichols spent last season at Brewster Academy.
