Let’s look at list 4.0.
Caelum Ethridge – University School Sharks
A developing point guard, Ethridge provided valuable minutes playing alongside 2022 Jett Howard Jett Howard 6'5" | SG IMG Academy | 2022 State #64 Nation FL and 2020 Roger McFarlane for the Sharks a season ago. From the shooting guard position, Ethridge is a threat from the outside and has a quick release. At 6-foot-2, Ethridge is still growing into his body and projects to peak around 6-foot-4. In the open court, his craftiness along with his length makes him a dangerous weapon. Moreover, Ethridge has excellent vision and can set up his teammates on the fast break. On defense, he has good hands and awareness to poke away at the basketball for steal opportunities. The rising junior has played in the Sharks system and has a ton of talent around him to work on his game. Particularly, his chemistry with Jaylen Carey Jaylen Carey 6'8" | PF Westminster Academy | 2023 State #129 Nation FL makes his play-making skills even more apparent. When basketball activities resume, Ethridge will be running with Team Knight on the gauntlet. For highlights, check out his tape by clicking here.
Pete Laidley Pete Laidley 6'6" | PF Pembroke Pines | 2021 State FL – Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars
At 6-foot-6, Laidley has the natural size to compete in the front court as power forward or center. The 2021 transfer from Miramar helped Pembroke Pines Charter to a state final after averaging 5.3 points per game. In multiple contests this past season, Laidley scored in double-figures. Against Northwestern, Laidley scored 12 points and was effective around the rim. Against Naples in the Class 5A state semifinal, Laidley chipped in with 10 points. With the graduation of Amarchi Ujagbor, Laidley should advance his presence around the Jaguars paint. In addition, playing alongside talented Javen Flowers-Smith Javen Flowers-Smith 6'1" | PG Salem | 2021 State GA should give him finishing opportunities off penetration. Waldin Fevrier – Avante Garde Academy Sharks
As mentioned in previous stories, Avante Garde Academy has a ton of talent returning on a team that went 19-4 last season. In Waldin Fevrier, the Sharks have an athletic guard that does a little bit of everything on the court. The 2021 averaged 17.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.6 steals and 3.8 assists a season ago. Against Pinecrest Prep, Waldin scored a season-high 32 points and knocked down a whopping six 3-pointers. Along with his effective shooting from deep, Fevrier has a strong knack to get on the boards. On multiple nights, the rising junior collected a half-dozen rebounds.
Tyshaun Daniels Tyshaun Daniels 6'7" | PF McArthur | 2021 State FL – McArthur Mustangs
With a trio of seniors graduating, Daniels moves up into the Mustangs line as a primary weapon. The 2021 averaged 10.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.2 blocks a season ago. At 6-foot-7, Daniels is an athletic wing with a strong handle in the open floor at his size. Against Monarch, Daniels poured in a season-high 26 points. With his combination of size and speed, Daniels wastes little motion accelerating towards the rim. On the defensive side, Daniels is equally as dangerous using his wingspan to alter shots. Moreover, his length can be a disruption against opponents in passing lanes. Against Hollywood Hills, the Mustangs big recorded 6 steals. A transfer from Everglades, you can check out some of his sophomore highlights by clicking here.
Deshawn Jean-Charles Deshawn Jean-Charles 6'6" | PF West Oaks | 2022 State FL – Miramar Patriots
An athletic wing-forward, Jean-Charles helped the Patriots to a state championship after averaging 12.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. With the graduation of Citadel bound Brent Davis Brent Davis 6'1" | CG Miramar | 2020 State FL , Jean-Charles returns as the teams leading scorer. The 2022 is 6-foot-6 and showed up in a big way in the Patriots championship victory with 25 points and eight rebounds. In addition, Jean-Charles knocked down nine free-throws. With his length, the rising junior is also a problem around the glass. In five games this season, Jean-Charles reached double-figures in boards. Given his versatility and big game confidence, a solid junior year should be on his horizon.
