Niyi Olabode Niyi Olabode 6'5" | SF Miramonte | 2021 State CA-N 6’5 Forward, Miramonte HS (Orinda CA)
A good athlete with a good amount of experience playing basketball at a competitive level. A high IQ player that doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. He plays with balance and under control, using a hard drive to get into the paint where he can finish with either hand, kick it out to open shooters or pull jumpers in the key. At 6’5 he’s a decent ball handler in the open court under pressure. He’s a solid body who can mix it up inside for rebounds, he can defend bigger players in the post, and hold his own on the perimeter. He averaged 9.6 ppg, 4.7 rebs.
AJ Rohosy 6’7, Wing/Forward, Marin Catholic HS (Kentfield, CA)
Rohosy is an intriguing prospect, I can’t quite tell what position he plays, which might make him a positionless player. A slender prospect who’s body language and movement looks like a player who’s more comfortable on the perimeter. He has 3pt range, but needs improve his form. He can dribble drive to the paint with some success. He can score in the post when the team needs a bucket in the 4th qtr. He’s active on defense with hands up. Strengthening his body and continuing to work on his skill set, we could see a rise in his stock. 11.5 ppg, 7.6 rebs.
Alonzo Washington Alonzo Washington 6'5" | SF De La Salle | 2021 State CA-N , 6’5 Forward, De La Salle HS (Concord, CA)
Washington is an athletic wing playing the interior for the good of the team. He proved himself to be a quality player in the 10 to 12 ft range. He has a nice mid range jumper, he gets into the interior of defenses with good body control and balance for nice smooth finishes. His body control in transition allows him to be an effective finisher in multiple ways including dunks. He plays good low post defense with his body, hands up, and good feet. I’ll see him again.
Aidan Sevilla, 5’10 Guard, Dougherty Valley HS (San Ramon, CA)
Sevilla surprised a few folks with the breakout season he had. A calm and steady player on the court, who can play at different speeds. For a team the didn’t poses a lot of size, he was an effective player in half court sets as well as transition. Being on the thin side he could effectively get into the paint using various finishing moves to keep bigger players off balance and avoid body contact. He has a consistent mid range pull up jumper in transition, and a very reliable three point shot. He averaged 14.4 ppg, 38 percent from three.
Scott Ruegg Scott Ruegg 6'0" | CG Acalanes | 2021 State CA-N 6’1 Combo Guard, Acalanes HS, (Lafayette, CA)
Ruegg a well conditioned athlete often plays the whole game, he plays with good pace knowing when to speed things up or settle the team. He handles full court ball pressure, and double teams situations consistently. His head is always up looking to make the pass up the court. He takes it strong to the basket in transition. He’s an effective player on the wings in half court. He takes it strong to the basket on the drive, and has a consistent mid-range jumper. He averaged 16.3 ppg, 4.2 rebs, 2.9 ast.
