The City Rankings series continues with a look at the Top 6 wings in the Raleigh-Durham area’s 2021 class. Take a look at the top guards in the Raleigh-Durham area if you haven’t already.

Van der Heijden leads an impressive group of wings from the Raleigh-Durham area. He’s a 6-foot-9 prospect that can play the 2-4 spot on the floor as he adds more bulk to his frame. He shot 45 percent from 3-point range while draining 54 3-pointers in 2019-20. He’s due for a strong senior year with the Millbrook.

#2 Jalen McDonaldJalenMcDonald6'5" | CGLeesville Road | 2021StateNC | 6-5 G/F | Leesville Road

McDonald is a 6-foot-5 wing that’s due to make waves in the Cap7 in 2020-21 alongside Carter WhittCarterWhitt6'2" | PGLeesville Road | 2021State#100NationNC. He’s a high-flying wing that can finish above the rim and get the crowd on their feet. As his shot comes along, look for him to become a problem on the wing. He was recently offered by UNC-Wilmington to add to his list of offers which stands at six schools now.
