Maddox is already a name some colleges know despite being just a sophomore. He’s a true point guard that looks to pass first and score second, making him a natural leader on the floor. He put up 14.0 ppg, 5.3 apg and 4.9 rpg for Davie County and despite not making the playoffs, they still made strides as a young squad. With offers already from High Point, Penn State and others, he’ll be a growing name in the Greensboro area for the next few seasons.

Hodge was another name that made waves in the Greensboro area with a big sophomore season at Northern Guilford. He put up 14.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 2.7 apg as quite the threat to have on the wing. He has a smooth game that allows him to read the defense with his dribble and take whatever they gave him, whether on the perimeter or in the paint. He’s an underrated leaper as well.
#4 Amare Miller Amare Miller 6'7" | C The Burlington School | 2022 State NC | 6’6 F | Piedmont Classical
Miller is an emerging forward prospect finding his way in the Piedmont Classical rotation. He was a solid contributor in the frontcourt, averaging 11.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 1.2 bpg in 2019-20. He was due for a big jump on the grassroots scene with Team CP3. With the departure of three key seniors from their 2019-20 squad, he’s due for a breakout junior campaign to fill the void.
#5 James Wilkins III James Wilkins III 6'1" | PG Asheville School | 2022 State NC | 6’3 G | Calvary Day School
Wilkins is a combo guard that can fill it up in a hurry. He’s already surpassed over 2,000 points in his high school career after a productive season in the rotation with Calvary Day School. He was an All-Conference selection after showing off his vision on the fast break and in the halfcourt. He put up 18 points, seven assists and seven rebounds per game during his sophomore campaign and is due to return his junior year looking to do more damage. He can score it on all three levels and exudes patience at either guard spot.
#6 Travis Shaw Travis Shaw 6'6" | C Grimsley | 2022 State NC | 6’6 F | Grimsley
Shaw is a two-sport threat on the football field and hardwood. On the hardwood, he’s one of the best passers and post players in the Grimsley frontcourt. He produced 6.7 ppg and 6.2 rpg for the Whirlies as they went 18-8 and won the conference after going 7-1 on the year. He’s already drawn tons of interest from D1 suitors on the gridiron but on the hardwood, he’s a threat as well.

He does a little bit of everything on the floor to make his presence known. In the post, he looks to finish at the rim and on the perimeter, he can break down the defense and knock down outside shots. He’s another one to watch at Calvary Day.
#8 Gunner Walters | 5’10 PG | Mount Tabor
Walters is a shifty point guard that looks to push the tempo and catch the defense off guard at every turn.
