The Charlotte area has some talented prospects, as evidenced by the guards and wings in the City Rankings already. Here’s a look at the Top 5 forwards in the Charlotte area’s 2021 class.

#1 Chris FordChrisFord6'5" | SFNorth Mecklenburg | 2021StateNC | 6’5 F/Wing | North Mecklenburg

Ford is a versatile prospect that worked wonders for North Mecklenburg in the frontcourt in 2019-20. He’s a strong forward that can operate on the perimeter and on the interior. He’s a pest on the glass and is an energy guy that competes on both ends. He holds offers from Davidson and Appalachian State and is drawing interest from a number of other college programs.

#2 Jacori OwensJacoriOwens6'8" | PFCombine Academy | 2021StateNC | 6’9 F/C | Combine Academy

Owens is an emerging forward prospect at Combine Academy due for a big 2020-21 season. He’s got nice length at 6-foot-9 that he uses well to protect the rim and rebound defensively. Offensively, he’s a threat in the pick-and-roll game and as he improves his agility, he’ll be a threat in the high-post area as well. He holds offers from UNC-Greensboro, Mount St. Mary’s, Elon and Youngstown State.

#3 Ben BurnhamBenBurnham6'6" | SFCarmel Christian | 2021StateNC | 6’6 F | Carmel
