DJ Wagner (2023) | Camden
We begin with arguably the best guard in the county, and he only has on season under his belt. Wagner led Camden to a 29-1 record behind 557 total points. He averaged 18.6 points per game and knocked down 71 three’s. Wagner put on a show every time he was on the floor. He is the next big superstar in New Jersey that has a bright future at the next level.
Tazir Cantey Tazir Cantey 6'0" | PG Eastern | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Lindenwold
What a junior year it was for Cantey. The 2021 product finished with 25.3 points per game and had nearly four steals per game. Cantey scored 30 or more points nine times this season. In game two of the season, he exploded for 43 points against STEM Civics. Only to outdo himself later in the year with a season-high 45 points against Audubon, not to mention 10 rebounds and 11 steals. Cantey is a stat sheet filler that can get it done in many ways.
Jake Green (2022) | Cherry Hill East
Green was the state’s leading three-point shooter in 2019-2020. He knocked down 102 three’s and averaged 13.3 points per game. He is obviously a marksman from deep. Green has a smooth stroke and excellent balance when shooting the ball. He can square his shoulders up and get a shot off over bigger defenders. Green has a chance to do great things in New Jersey from beyond the arc.
Ryan Roney Ryan Roney 6'0" | SG Gloucester Catholic | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Gloucester Catholic
Roney opened his junior year with a 33-point outburst in a win over Schalick. He knocked down 36 three’s and was known as a slasher that was hard to stop getting to the rim. Roney scored 19.4 points per game as a junior and it is hard to imagine that number not going up when he is a senior. Roney is an agile guard that can dominate a game on both sides of the ball.
Drew Greene Drew Greene 5'10" | PG Cherry Hill East | 2022 State NJ (2022) | Cherry Hill East
Another sharpshooter on Cherry Hill East in the Class of 2022. Greene did not put up the big numbers from deep that his teammate did but he was able to knock down 31 of his own. Greene excelled at getting to the rim for easy buckets and drawing contact. He finished with 91 made free throws and averaged 13.2 points per game.
Eriq Campbell (2021) | Lindenwold
Campbell was in control of the game this season for Lindenwold. The junior averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game. He was the point guard that set the team up in position to score. Campbell led the team in assists, and was second in scoring, rebounding, and steals.
Wisler Sanon Wisler Sanon 6'2" | CG Paul VI | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Paul VI
Sanon emerged as Paul VI’s top scorer this season. He was a threat from all three levels. Sanon knocked down 32 three’s which was right near the top of the team and led in a few other statistical categories. He is a do it all guard that has a chance to be a real threat in Camden County in his final season.
