Kobe Bufkin Kobe Bufkin 6'4" | SG Grand Rapids Christian | 2021 State #71 Nation MI (Grand Rapids Christian High School): Bufkin is the #1 player in the 2021 Michigan rankings and he has compiled offers from DePaul, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Northwestern, and others. The 6’4 shooting guard has a score-first mentality, always catches ready to attack, and is a consistent free throw shooter. Bufkin is also a really good off ball defender and gets a lot of steals because of his long arms. He’s a 4-star recruit according to 247 Sports.
Pierre Brooks Pierre Brooks 6'5" | SG Detroit Douglass | 2021 State #76 Nation MI (Detroit Frederick Douglass): Brooks, the #2 player in our updated rankings, committed to Michigan State over Arizona State, DePaul, Illinois, Michigan, and others. Read my breakdown on Brooks and other prospects, including Omar Ziegler Omar Ziegler 6'5" | CG Detroit King | 2021 State MI , out of Detroit here.
Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'5" | SG Ann Arbor Huron | 2021 State MI (Ann Arbor Huron High School): Lewis, who moved up three spots to #7 in our updated rankings, has received offers from Brown, Eastern Michigan, Oakland, Toledo, Western Michigan, and more. Read my analysis on Lewis and other Ann Arbor recruits here.
Brody Parker Brody Parker 6'0" | CG Troy | 2021 State MI (Troy High School): Parker, a 6’0 shooting guard out of Troy, doesn’t have a lot of flash to his game but he gets to his spot and can score from nearly anywhere within 22 feet. He is likely the best 3-point shooter of the five players mentioned, and is the 17th ranked player in the state. Parker also has a nice spin move, likes to set up his perimeter shot with a jab step, and can counter when a defender reads his first move. He has committed to Oakland.
Ty Wyman Ty Wyman 6'5" | SG Blissfield | 2021 State MI (Blissfield High School): Wyman is the 20th ranked senior in Michigan and he has an opportunity to raise his stock over the next year. The 6’5 guard has good footwork, seeks contact, runs the floor well, and is smooth in transition. He also has a quick release on his outside shot and is a good decision maker in the half court. Wyman likes to finish with his left hand in the paint which is hard for defenders to predict. He has a scholarship offer from Northwood University.
