All-Area Team: Charleston (2020) Part 1

<p>Charleston County has plenty of schools so Prep Hoops decided to break this up into a few different parts. Lets take a look at some of All-Area Team: Charleston 2020 right here. </p> [caption id="attachment_912537" align="alignnone" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="843565" first="Darjawuan" last="Brown"][/caption] <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="843565" first="Darjawuan" last="Brown"] - North Charleston HS  (CO-Charleston County Player of the Year) </strong></p> <p>Brown helped the Cougars get to the Lower State Championship Game this season. Brown a recent South Carolina State commit finished with over 1,800 career points. Brown averaged 22.3 ppg, 6.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists this season. </p> [caption id="attachment_936860" align="alignnone" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="642020" first="Dashawn" last="Murray"][/caption] <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="642020" first="Dashawn" last="Murray"] - North Charleston HS</strong> </p> <p>Murray went over 1,000 career points late in the season. Murray would need to entertain junior college options next year. Murray averaged 24.4 ppg and 10.6 rebounds this season. Murray missed a good portion of a season over the years due to off the court issues for the Cougars. </p> [caption id="attachment_936867" align="alignnone" width="300"] Trenton Bennett #3[/caption] <p><strong>Trenton Bennett - North Charleston HS</strong> </p> <p>Bennett came out of nowhere this season for the Cougars. Bennett averaged 12.6 ppg and 11.5 rebounds this season. Bennett plays was a good 3rd option in the lineup for Head Coach Chris Brown. Bennett looks to be headed into the Military next fall according to Brown.</p> [caption id="attachment_903881" align="alignnone" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="843625" first="Patrick" last="Antonelli"][/caption] <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="843625" first="Patrick" last="Antonelli"] - Bishop England (Daniel Island)</strong> <strong> (CO-Charleston County Player of the Year) </strong></p> <p>Antonelli will be headed to play at Emory and Henry College (VA) (NCAA D3) next season. Antonelli a point guard led the Battling Bishops to a (26-3) season. Bishop England won its first 20 games before losing to Porter Gaud in January. Antonelli averaged 13.4 ppg, 6.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 steals this season. </p> [caption id="attachment_903882" align="alignnone" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="751298" first="Aidan" last="McCool"][/caption] <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="751298" first="Aidan" last="McCool"] - Bishop England (Daniel Island) </strong></p> <p>McCool averaged 14.7 ppg and 5.7 rebounds this season for the Battling Bishops. McCool shot 38% (60-156) from behind the three point line. McCool finished his career with 1,052 points.  McCool plans on attending the University of Maryland this fall as a preferred walk on. </p> [caption id="attachment_769330" align="alignnone" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="567804" first="Tristan" last="Freeling"][/caption] <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="567804" first="Tristan" last="Freeling"] - Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant) </strong></p> <p>Freeling made a way over to the Landsharks this season after playing at nearby Wando HS. Freeling 6'4 still UNSIGNED has great academics in the classroom with a 1200 SAT Test Score and 4.0 GPA. Freeling averaged 15.1 ppg this season for the Landsharks. </p> [caption id="attachment_977074" align="alignnone" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="843604" first="Sam" last="Laydon"][/caption] <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="843604" first="Sam" last="Laydon"] - Wando HS (Mount Pleasant) </strong></p> <p>Laydon a sharp shooting guard averaged 12.7 ppg this season for the Warriors. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="751321" first="Wendell" last="Seabrook"] - Charleston Collegiate (pictured on the front) </strong></p> <p>Seabrook helped the Riptide get to the SCHSL Class 1A Lower State Champion Game this season in Florence. Seabrook a point guard averaged 13 ppg, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists this season. Seabrook a academic qualifier helped the Riptide to a (21-4) season. </p> [caption id="attachment_877462" align="alignnone" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="843645" first="Dionte" last="Williams"][/caption] <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="843645" first="Dionte" last="Williams"] - Charleston Collegiate </strong></p> <p>Williams a key member and glue guy for the Riptide team this season. Williams averaged 12 ppg and 5.8 rebounds on the season. Williams liked to set up shop in the corners. </p>
