Continue ReadingCollege programs are always looking for the player that can play multiple positions. The 6”4 and under player usually fits that bill. In D3 he is usually the 3-4 guy. D2 he can play 2-3-4. D1 plays him at 1-2-3. This size player is a luxury to have depending on his skill set. Most of these guys fit into the D2, D3 program. Unless otherwise noted. I present you the class of 2021 who fit this mold.
KIP DALLARIS SR (2021) COLD SPRING HARBOR H S
Kip can score the ball. Excellent shooter. He possesses great court vision and awareness. He needs to improve on his weak hand and going left. Was named as an honorable mention N Y State player. Averaged 22ppg, 9 rebs, 7assists a game.
JOSHUA MINTON 6”1 SR(2021) BALDWIN H S
This smooth lefty can knock down the three. Very high basketball IQ. He continues to work on the defensive side of the game. Will have a bigger role next season due to the graduation of seniors. Should respond nicely.
CHRIS CONNORS 6”3 SR (2021). ISLAND TREES H S
Chris is a lefty pure guard because of his skill set. He has the added bonus of being able to use his size and post up other guards. He is also very good at the catch and shoot coming off of screens. He really took huge strides in his game this year. Dropped 41 in a game this past season.
ANTONIO ARANA 6”2 SR(2021) ISLAND TREES H S
Can handle the ball. Excellent at coming off screens to drill the three. Working on getting to the basket and finishing.
BEN TOUSSAINT 6”3. SR (2021) ST DOMS H S
A strong very athletic player. Very good 3 point range. Has been working on his back to the basket game. With his body type, this would a big advantage.
RYAN WADE 6”2. SR (2021) ST DOMS H S
Ryan has a really good handle. He is still growing physically. He is working on his perimeter game to accommodate his added size.
COOPER FRANCIS. 6”2. SR (2021) ST. DOMS H S
A really tough throwback competitor. He does all the little things that contribute to wins. Cooper had a breakout year and became a scoring option. Has the ability to guard bigger players. Is working on his handle and decision making.
