Chris Dockery 6’5 SF Bonanza 2021 – Dockery suffered a gruesome leg injury during the fall, and many questioned if he would ever return. Remarkably the junior wing made a full recovery and was poised to have a major breakout AAU season. A 6’5, long, lean athlete, that can jump through the roof, Dockery would have been a perfect fit for grassroots play.
Chancelor Johnson Chancelor Johnson 6'3" | SG Desert Pines | 2020 GA 6’3 SG Desert Pines 2021 (#20PHN 2021) – A scoring machine that averaged over 16 per game in his sophomore season at Democracy Prep, Johnson sat out, for 4A runner up Desert Pines. Shooter, with a good frame.
Amar Smith 6’0 PG Legacy 2021 – Smith played alongside Johnson at Democracy Prep two seasons ago. Like Johnson, he’s a physically built guard. Good defender, driver, and slasher.
Shane Thomas Shane Thomas 6'3" | SG Durango | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Centennial 2022 (#12PHN 2022) – After making a name for himself on the 2019 summer circuit, Thomas missed all of last season for Centennial. The lefty is a good shooter and versatile defender.
Dontrell Johnson Dontrell Johnson 6'5" | SF Trinity | 2022 State NV 6’5 PF Bonanza 2022 (#8PHN 2022) – Bonanza is one of my sleeper teams to watch next season. A lot of that has to do with the return of Dockery and Johnson. Johnson is another athletic wing, that can rebound, and score in transition. He played JV, last season after transferring from Bishop Gorman.
Bryan Lagarady 6’6 SF 2022 – Lagarady is still out there and most likely would have played for someone this AAU season. He didn’t play for anyone this high school season, but he has talent. Highly skilled stretch 4 that can make plays for teammates.
