With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2022 Guards in Alec Evans Alec Evans 6'4" | SG Rushville | 2022 IN , Bobby Wonnell Bobby Wonnell 6'2" | SG Taylor | 2022 State IN , and Breece Walls Breece Walls 6'0" | PG Valparaiso | 2022 State IN .
Alec Evans

Evans

Rushville | 2022
IN
– 6’4 SG 2022 – Rushville (IN)
Stats: 15.7 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.5 spg
Thoughts: Evans is a tall guard who has a pretty diverse game. He is a high scoring guard that can pretty much do anything asked of him to do. Pretty solid ball handling skills that allows him to drive to the rim well. Not super strong right now so will need to hit the weight room more often. Would also like to see him show off his jumper a bit more. There is a good amount of potential in Evans at the moment. Once he fine-tunes a few things, he could be really good come his senior season.
Bobby Wonnell
Bobby
Wonnell
6'2" | SG
Taylor | 2022
State
IN
– 6’3 SG 2022 – Kokomo (IN)
Stats: 13.0 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.1 apg
Thoughts: Wonnell is a tall shooting guard with a good amount of scoring ability. Shoots the jumper from the outside more often-than-not and has a ton of range with it. Moves pretty well and could possibly even grow some more. Good shot off the catch but would like to see if he can create his own shot and if he can score off the pull-up. He relies on scoring from the perimeter but has the skill to drive and finish. Getting stronger would also help his game out even more. Lot of breakout potential in Wonnell.
Breece Walls
Breece
Walls
6'0" | PG
Valparaiso | 2022
State
IN
– 5’10 PG 2022 – Valparaiso (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Walls is a shifty point guard with some quickness and creativeness in the lane. Has some real good IQ and ability to see the floor well. Can be a capable shooter at times but looks as though he would much rather score around the rim. Pretty strong right now but could add some more size. His aggressiveness helps him be a good defender. Still some work to be done with Walls but right now he is on track to have a great last couple seasons in his high school career.
