With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Guards in Blake Davison Blake Davison 6'0" | PG Leo | 2021 State IN , Cole Richmond Cole Richmond 6'1" | SG DeKalb | 2021 State IN , and Ty Smith Ty Smith 6'1" | SG Crown Point | 2021 State IN .

Leo | 2021
State

– 6’0 PG 2021 – Leo (IN)
Stats: 17.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.8 apg
Thoughts: Davison is a long point guard with some athletic ability. He has the ability to be a high level creator and distributor. Just a player that has a ton of on court IQ and vision. With the ball in his hands, he can really make plays for others with his great passing ability. He is coming off of his best scoring season which has showed that he can turn into more of a scoring guard. Has an offer from Indiana Tech right now. Davison is just an overall great player. Should have a breakout senior year.
Cole Richmond

DeKalb | 2021
State
IN
– 6’10 SG 2021 – DeKalb (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Richmond is a solid shooting guard that plays with some aggressiveness. Not the fastest guard but does a good job in picking his spots to attack. Good perimeter shooter and handles pressure well. Adding speed and strength should be a main focus of improvement if he wants to play at the next level. Solid player overall that could turn into a nice catch-and-shoot scorer.
Ty Smith

Smith
6'1" | SG
Crown Point | 2021
State
IN
– 6’1 SG 2021 – Crown Point (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Smith is a tall off-guard who can be very creative. Is an excellent shooter and is very crafty at getting to the rim. Looks to use his pull-up jumper more than his catch-and-shoot move. Has some really good handles and has shown at times he can play more of lead guard at the next level. He is the type of player that does not take plays off on offense or defense. Plays with a great motor and a ton of energy. If he continues the hard work, he could be a special player at the next level.
