Over the last two weeks, we broke down some players to know in the 2021 and 2022 classes. The prospects there are truly missing out the most on the summer prior to their senior seasons with AAU.
Now, is a look at some more names to know in the 2023 class.

Kjei Parker (Kathleen)
In his freshman campaign, Kjei Parker finished second in scoring on Kathleen with 13.1 PPG. The 6’1″ combo guard proved to be consistent all season long as a physical and versatile attacker. He projects next season as a dangerous athlete in Polk County. If he can get stronger and develop a steady outside jumper, Parker will be even more valuable for his squad (highlights). He is a pure scorer.
Alec Prameshuber Alec Prameshuber 6'3" | CG Windermere Prep | 2023 FL & Alan Prameshuber Alan Prameshuber 6'2" | CG Windermere Prep | 2023 FL (Providence)
Eight of the 11 players on Providence were upperclassmen. Two of the underclassmen were 2023 twin duo Alec Prameshuber Alec Prameshuber 6'3" | CG Windermere Prep | 2023 FL and Alan Prameshuber Alan Prameshuber 6'2" | CG Windermere Prep | 2023 FL . Playing sparingly off the bench, Alan, a 6’1″ guard and Alec, a 6’3″ guard are both good mid-range shooters and quick and experienced ballhandlers. Playing the summer with Team Parsons, the Prameshuber flashed plenty of potential in heavy minutes. I expect them to shine as sophomores.
Dontrelle Thompson Dontrelle Thompson 6'3" | CG New Smyrna Beach | 2023 FL (Mainland)
Mainland graduated six seniors including leading scorer Jordan Sears Jordan Sears 5'10" | PG Mainland | 2020 State #381 Nation FL , a Gardner Webb commit. 6’2″ guard Dontrelle Thompson Dontrelle Thompson 6'3" | CG New Smyrna Beach | 2023 FL is next in line at the program which has been very successful here over the last few seasons. He had six games with 10 or more points which included two 12-point outings against Golden Gate and New Smyrna Beach. Thompson is a prospect to watch in the Daytona/Orlando area this fall.
Kyle McNeal (Dwyer)
2022 guard Xavier Scott Xavier Scott 5'11" | CG Dwyer | 2022 State FL returns to lead this backcourt but guard Courtney Grant Courtney Grant 5'10" | PG Dwyer | 2020 State FL has graduated. An emerging piece for Dwyer this past season was 5’11” guard Kyle McNeal, who is set to take on a bigger role for the Palm Beach Gardens based squad. He scored in all but one game and had five performances in double digits, led by a 17-point night in a win over Centennial. McNeal is a 2023 prospect to watch closely.
Greg Maxwell (P.K. Yonge)
P.K. Yonge has been a steady contender in Gainesville year after year and there is some young talent to like which includes 2021 guards Adrian Bloodworth Adrian Bloodworth 6'0" | CG P.K. Yonge | 2021 State FL and Christian Norman and 2022 guard/forward Aaron Small Aaron Small 6'2" | CG P.K. Yonge | 2022 State FL . 6′ guard Greg Maxwell was a reliable performer for the Blue Wave, averaging 8.3 PPG. A talented shooter, he can hit from deep at a high clip and he is a high IQ passer. Maxwell will be essential for this group next season.
