Last week we revamped our class of 2022 rankings with input from our staff members in the SoCal region. What came of those discussions was the most comprehensive and unbiased rankings in the Southern California area for rising juniors. This piece takes a look at lesser known prospects - outside the Top 75 - who could be value-add pieces to a college program come two seasons from now.
Nico PeerenboomNicoPeerenboom6'4" | SGDel Norte | 2022State, Del Norte - Peerenboom adds value with his shooting ability at 6-feet-4. Our 76th ranked rising junior moves well without the ball, has fundamental shooting mechanics and good balance through his release. Peerenboom has some work to do defensively and with his ball skills, but he’s with the right club program to make that happen in Gamepoint.
Khamani NelsonKhamaniNelson6'6" | PFGardena Serra | 2022State, Gardena Serra - Nelson is a rangy 6-foot-6 forward who is currently in that development holding pattern between the power and small forward positions. Our No. 85 prospect has been working diligently on his ball skills and extending his shooting range, and if hard work is to be rewarded, Nelson should be on track for a strong junior season.
Nico PonceNicoPonce5'8" | SGAlemany | 2022State, Alemany - Ponce

TJ TittelfitzTJTittelfitz6'6" | PFOrange Lutheran | 2022State, Orange Lutheran - Tittelfitz is an interesting prospect due to his size, strength and shooting ability from three-point range. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound forward has the physicality and broad shoulders to compete inside and on the glass defensively, while also exposing those mismatches on the offensive end as a consistent face-up shooting threat. Tittelfitz checks in at No. 88.
