Follow the link here for the 2021 prospects that would have seen their stock rise this Spring season. It is really unfortunate that this class in particular was not able to play this Spring, because there is a handful of players that have grown a lot and improved over the course of the last year. This group is really not established on the national scene, but it is only a matter of time before these guys get their chance to show what they have on the big stage!
“Would’ve Been” Stock Risers:
Player: Tre Blassingame Tre Blassingame 6'5" | SG Auburn | 2022 State WA
HS: Auburn
Club: Seattle Rotary
2022 6’5 SG Tre Blassigame is a prospect that I was really excited to see play after a really solid sophomore high school season. He has grown another inch or two in the last year and is slowly starting to fill out his frame. Blassingame is intriguing due to his height as a perimeter player and versatility on the floor. Playing on the 16u EYBL would have given him the prime time opportunity to prove himself among some of the country’s best for his class. A natural late bloomer, I believe the 6’5 guard has all of the tools to start garnering some Division 1 offers.
Player: Quin Patterson Quin Patterson 6'7" | SF Mount Si | 2022 State WA
HS: Mt. Si
Club: Team LaVine
2022 6’7 SF Quin Patterson Quin Patterson 6'7" | SF Mount Si | 2022 State WA is two inches taller from last Spring and he has slimmed down some as he grows into his body and big feet! The 6’7 wing is one of the best shooters in his class and showed glimpses of that throughout the season when given the opportunity. I was most impressed by his level of confidence on the court for the 4A state champions. He knew he belonged on the floor and I think that confidence would have carried over to the Spring travel season. He has the interest of a handful of Division 1 schools.
Player: Will Woodward Will Woodward 6'7" | SF Eastlake | 2022 State WA
HS: Eastlake
Club: FOH Seattle
2022 6’6 SF Will Woodward Will Woodward 6'7" | SF Eastlake | 2022 State WA made big strides in his sophomore season and hit a three inch growth spurt from a season ago. With his height and ability to shoot the ball, he could have been able to really pick up his level of interest this Spring season with Friends of Hoop. If Woodward can continue to work on his all around game and add another inch of height to his already strong frame, he is definitely going to be a player that colleges are going to look at really closely. The tools are all there to keep on getting better!
Player: Louis Grante-Halliday Louis Grante-Halliday 6'6" | SG Eastside Catholic | 2022 State WA
HS: Nathan Hale
Club: Team LaVine
2022 6’5 CG Louis Grante-Halliday Louis Grante-Halliday 6'6" | SG Eastside Catholic | 2022 State WA is a new player to the club scene in Washington and he could have put some people on notice this Spring with Team LaVine. He had a really solid sophomore season for Nathan Hale in the Metro League. His frame is exceptionally strong for his age and he has the body control and skill to attack off the bounce and make plays in the paint. A name that college coaches should start to be aware of starting now. *Feature image
Player: Asjon Anderson Asjon Anderson 6'0" | PG Mt. Tahoma | 2022 State WA
HS: Mount Tahoma
Club: WA Supreme
2022 5’10 PG Asjon Anderson Asjon Anderson 6'0" | PG Mt. Tahoma | 2022 State WA put some people on notice this last season with the Mount Tahoma Thunderbirds. Although smaller in size and unassuming appearance, Anderson is a killer on the court. He has the handle, confidence and shooting ability to light it up for a quick 20 points. His older brother, Tre Anderson, moved on to the Division 1 level and Asjon could be on the same track if he continues to grow and get stronger with his all around game. He is a fun player to watch that could have caught some people by surprise this Spring.
